Hi everyone,

I''ve been looking at a diamond, and asked to see a sarin report. This stone has an EGL report that graded the girdle at medium, but the sarin reported 10.0% thickness (7.5-12.9). Would this measurement from the Sarin be more like extra large?

This EGL report does not appear to be a EGL-USA report, more likely an overseas report. Are these variations common with EGL, and the reason people usually go for GIA or others instead?

Thanks

10% girdle is a bit too much... There might be measurement errors in either report. Try to add crown, girdle and pavilion depth. You should get total depth +/- 1% or 2%.
