I have bought a couple of gems from this seller (aaagems888) and he/she seem to be honest in description of the stones. When it is a red-yellow spessartine, they do not call it "orange" for example. Usually stones are well-cut. But since I do not yet know how to "read" colors can you tell me what you think of this gem?

They''re either using camera flash or some serious overhead lighting which IMO is skewing the colors . But just based on what I can tell I see yellow/brown and sometimes a bit of orange at the tip. The cut on this stone does look off to me and straight on view shows it has a window.

Thank you. Any ideas about the second one? It looks sort of flesh-colored to me. I do not know how it would look in real life.

I have to agree with Arcadian that either the vendor used flash or lighting that is too strong while photographing both stones. The colour that I see on my monitor for both stones is yellowish brown without any orange. The pear has a slight window. The round seems to be cut better.

Thank you very much. I am not going to buy them.
On a positive note, this vendor mentions that the stones are synthetic when he is selling them (he is now selling synthetic Russian amethyst).
