Can someone please explain the different types of sushi? Here''s what I think but please correct me if I''m wrong.

Nigiri is... is that the one that has rice on the bottom and raw fish on the top -- no seaweed, right?

Sashimi is... raw fish, sliced thin, no rice or seeweed

Hand roll is...fish and rice and maybe veggies rolled up in seaweed OR is it fish, seaweed, and maybe veggies rolled up in rice and toasted sesame seeds?

I''ve heard that sushi is cooked but how can that be? Please teach me!
