Very sad way to find out your guy has a deceptive and cheap side...that''s the way I take it...He could have just told her he is saving for the ultlimate center stone and seen where that went...or he could have just bought an inexpensive center stone--a real diamond--and presented his lady with that...so sad for both the guy and the girl.

I am guessing he is seeing the light of the error of his ways and won''t be inclined to repeat his actions again...hard lesson to learn...

and I''m betting even a stone this large might not cure you!!!

DOCD: An illness many of us suffer from on this forum. DOCD, discovered by Dr. Brillianteering in the early 1900''s, is a manifestation of mental anomolies when perfectly sane individuals become the owners of high quality diamonds. What typically occurs for an accurate DOCD diagnosis is euphoria upon the purchase of a nice gem, followed by self doubt, and ultimately downright concern that the purchased stone has somehow magically changed in appearance or worse, shrunk in size while the owner slept.
