Depth vs. table?

In a perfect world, should an emerald cut have a depth slightly larger than its table? If the table is larger than its depth, will it look too shallow?

VuittonGal I know next to nothing about emerald cuts except that they are beautiful, but have you checked out the AGA Cut Chart for fancy cuts under Knowledge at the top of the page? There is some good info to be had.
