David Klass Ring Remake

I bought a hydrothermal blue sapphire from Gene when he still had it in stock, then contacted David to make it into a halo ring. I stupidly wanted to add pink diamond melees (lab created) as the double halo. I've always loved pink diamond melees, not realizing at the time that they looked so pretty only because I was looking at them against white / colorless stones like diamonds and moissanites. The pink diamond melees, in my opinion, did not look good against this bright blue lab sapphire. It just looked odd. You can see and decide for yourself here.

I let David know, even after I approved the ring and received it, and he so very graciously offered to remake it. I removed the double halo and am now down to a single halo, with F/G or G/H lab melees, which brings out the blue so much more. The blue actually looks BRIGHT!

Shout out to David for such excellent customer service! Does anyone know whether David makes the rings, or is he just the front desk business person?

it was still a beauty before but the white diamonds definatly play better with the blue

Agreed, this ring looks much better with the white diamonds over the pink - the pink diamonds did detract from that lovely blue color. Maybe if they had been neon pink sapphires I'd feel differently, but as it was, the whole ring came across as more "muted".

What a beautiful ring! I'm a halo lover and this is gorgeous. Great choice on switching to white diamonds!
