Thanks ChinaCat - no movement so far, unfortunately. I did talk to the person in charge this morning and he said there are some deadlines coming up and so hopefully he''ll have more to tell me in a couple of weeks, and that he thinks the probability is "very, very high" so I''m trying to stay positive and hopeful.

Very interesting discussion! I have nothing to add since I have never lived in either place, but in May 09 one of the museums there is hosting a huge diamond exhibition and I am planning to come down and see it.
