I''m a liberal conservative both politically and in general.

I''m a huge free-market liberal, socially liberal on issues like homosexuality, gay adoption etc and quite conservative on others - thing marriage/two parent families are a good thing. I was/am a HUGE admirer of Margaret Thatcher.

I''m generally regarded as very right-wing by my friends who are all very left wing. My conservative friends regard me as overly liberal.

On ''Political Compass'' I''m a Right-wing Libertarian which is pretty correct.

Was I the only one who thought that quiz was not totally fair? A lot of times neither answer was right for me.

I hate non-exhaustive multiple choice! It makes me want to bang my head against the wall.

I kind of thought the quiz was bunk too.

I found a lot of the answers to be way too extreme for me to answer correctly.

Libertarian - very fiscally conservative (for small government) and very socially liberal (keep the government and churches out of my bedroom).

Yeah, I mean it really is judging "tendency" here versus actual opinion, but the questions were actually kind of judgmental and drew assumptions a lot of the time. They were phrased in a way to make that could sway you in a direction even if you didnt feel that way.

Maybe its the sociologist/researcher in me, but the quiz was definitely not scientifically appropriate.

Fun, but not exact.

I wonder if there''s a more scientific quiz out there!

For future reference, any quiz that has links to other quizzes such as "what kind of a goddess are you?" or "are you a sexy kitten" and has the word "myspace" anwhere on the page...chances are not scientifically appropriate at all

Elle: Found this quiz. Not sure how accurate it is but at least there is no "myspace" on the page LOL

Fiery: Your quiz labeled me as "liberal"

Also, I'm excited to see that I'm on the same wavelength as Gandhi!

Freke and NEL, my BF also says that of all the labels out there, he probably fits the libertarian best. It''s kind of funny because I had never really considered it as a choice before I met him. We do have a pretty similar upbringing and similar views on a lot of things though...

I would say that I tend to swing more conservative on financial issues (welfare reform, social security, etc) and more liberal on social issues (gay marriage, abortion, etc). I don''t identify with any one party and have voted one at one point and another at different times. Instead of parties, I try to pick the candidate that I feel best represents my views. Unfortunately, that seems to be a big fat NONE this year!

I found the quiz hard to andwer too, but still fun. I am 40% conservative, 60% liberal and I closed it too fast to remember the breakdown. For the most part I am quite liberal, but conservative on fiscal issues.
