Cleaning

I did a search to see what what recommended for diamond cleaning...and it seems like Windex is a popular choice. I let my wedding rings and diamond earrings soak for a few minutes, brushed and rinsed them and they look GREAT!

Is Windex safe to use on other stones? Will the chemicals effect colored stones? I know not use it on pearls, opals, etc. I have tourmaline, sapphires, tanzanite, and other stones.

different gems are effected by chemicals. look at www.mineralminers.com to find out what the cleaning recommendations are for each type of stone.
