Canadian diamonds

Hi Everyone;
I saw a show on the History channel about diamonds and according to what i heard that diamonds mined in Canada are suppose to be really high quality in terms of color I think. Is this true? Also does it make it a good idea to buy diamonds mined from other areas in terms of vaiue? Or does the fact that the area yeilds excellent diamonds not lower the price any as compared to other diamonds? Thanks

There have been lots of threads on this subject; if you do a search, I''m sure you''ll turn up some.

Personally (and I am no expert) I believe that it is mostly a marketing ploy, and where the diamond "came from" has little (if anything) to do with its true quality or "worth". But if anyone knows any different, please feel free to correct me!
