You just need to know your adjusted gross income.
http://alchemytoday.com/obamataxcut/ or link

This was created by the independent Tax Policy Center, link If only Joe the plumber had found this

Oh weird, I did not notice that. Ahem, my secret is out, we earn less than $200,000!
Weird that it stops, but I suppose it still works for a large number of Americans.

Yeah..I also find it interesting..non-partisan or not, that Obama''s taxcuts show up in these huge red letters and McCain''s are in these tiny little black letter. Moreover, did you read the text of the e-mail if you share it with your friends? Again..interesting link, just think there might be a tiiiiny bit of slant hiding in there. But I could be wrong.

hmm, don''t only 5% of American''s earn 250k or more. eta: sorry if I am getting off track here but when I see people talk about $250k earners I am always thinking, it is a very small amount that actually earn that amount. Factcheck came up with 3% of households. http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/what_percentage_of_the_us_population_makes.html

Thanks Skippy! I''d just like to be able to calculate it since it''s Obama''s magic number. I see a big difference between $250k and $500k for example.

Sure, I just put it out there because when people talk about the people who make $250k it sounds like it is a lot of people and in actuality it isn't.

Great, I was amazed at how many people made so little living paycheck to paycheck. I volunteered for 2 years doing low income taxes and the stats are quite eye opening or at least for me they are.

Thanks for the info Skippy. I have to admit I found this on the Help Josh Decide site, link where you tell Josh the undecided voter who to vote for. Strange, but interesting. Yes, the link was on the Obama side, but the Brookings Institute is one of the collaborators for the tax info site, so figured it wasn''t loony or anything. I''m not one to post from fringe sites.

It is a neat tool but I agree the presentation is incredibly biased. It would be a more effective demonstration if it just said what you'd save with Obama and McCain and the difference. My household income is about 175 so I tried the 150 entry and it bragged about how much more Obama's plan would give me than McCain's, when I tried 200 and McCain's gave us $1400 more than Obama's there was no "This is $1400 more than the $4000 cut you will get from Obama." I'm still an Obama fan but the facts are so much more persuasive when they aren't crammed down your throat.
