I can totally see both sides of this issue, so do what you feel is right for your wedding. I like the breakaway bouquets (my stepmom handed out the roses from her bouquet to all the ladies), the anniversary dance idea, etc. But keep in mind, if you don''t do the bouquet and garter tosses, you''ll miss out on great pictures like:
