BGD 3 Bezel Pendants

I know it is a little early, But I need some company!

Lesley has been emailing me and tells me that the ''glamour shots'' are 4 hours away!!!!!

In the meantime, I''ll tell you about the pendants.

I ordered 3 BGD Barbara Pendants in early Feb for My sister, My sister in law to be and myself.

They will be my bridesmaids on January the 9th 2011. I thought this would be a lovely elegant gift we could all wear on the day and forever onwards.

I am trying to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. (Pun Intended)

So, I will get to wear my pendant on March the 11th (My birthday) My SIL2B on her Birthday in April and my sister on her 21st in July.

Each pendant has a .3ct H&A J coloured diamond

The countdown is on for the piccies of the pendants.

Oh quick question for you...I am currently working on a pendant with Lesley too. I was going to do a halo around my roughly .5carat stone, but now I am wondering if I should just stick with a bezel. The barbara is beautiful! You made an excellent choice and your bridesmaids are going to LOVE you!!! May I ask what drew you to the Barbara vs the regular slider bezel?

Yes of course!

I went back and forth and back and forth.

I was on a budget and I still went for the more expensive one.

Ok Pros and cons

Pro for the Barbara
- I loved the back of it, thought it looked romantic with its sweeping lines
- came in 18ct gold and rose gold
- I could take this pendant and put it on other chains with ease
- I loved the thinner appearance of the bezel, only getting small diamonds and don''t want them to be dwarfed

Cons
- most expensive one

Slider Pendant Pros
- Cheaper and nearly getting the same result

Cons
- Looked really heavy and thick
- came in 14ct gold
- looks hard to change chains

I didn''t consider the fixed bezels because I don''t like the mickey mouse ear look, but having said that, I hate it when the clasp of the chain comes around the front!!

And I really want to have the option of swapping it around and moving it to other chains

I cannot wait to see the glamour shots! Thanks for explaining your thought process there. I wish I was your bridesmaid!

I recently bought the halo preset studs and am thinking of doing a matching halo pendant but after seeing your post and looking up the Barbara pendant I like that one too now! But I do like the idea of having a pendant to match my halo earrings. What do you think?

Ohh Yes I remember.

Honestly, if I could afford it I would have loved to get halo pendants. I love halos. I have a halo e ring.

But, Having said that. .5ct is a nice size for a bezel pendant and I think that the Barbara pendant is elegant and timeless. You will still be rocking it when you are in your 90''s

But I am not too big of a fan of matchy-matchy. The Barbara pendant is great cause it will always look good, not matter what other jewelry you are wearing.

I don''t know if I have made you decision any easier.
