My diamond has a cert from AGA-CERT - a accredited gen appraiser in Philadelphia.

How do I know that this cert is as good as a GIA cert? The guy who signed the cert from AGA - it says Diamonds Graduate (GIA) Appraisal Intern.

Should I be worried about this?

It is a 2.01 ct. round diamond. Exc/exc. 1B "american ideal cut".
G color
SI2

8.28 x 8.23 x 4.87 mm
depth 59%
Table 60.9%

Can anyone tell me what htis means?

hey john - that was a helpful link and makes me feel better.
I''m just nervous because eeryone says to get a GIA or AGS diamond, and mine has just an AGA-CERT and I''m not sure if that is something to trust or not...any last advice?

It is one of very few certs Id accept that arent by AGS or GIA.
I would take it over an EGl-anything cert and a 1000x over an IGI or EGL-isreal

If more independent labs had the reputability/strictness of the AGA people might feel more comfortable recommending them. You''re in good hands. It will be a precise analysis that conforms to AGS/GIA standards.
