Adding Pave'' to a plain band?

Can it be done? I found this vintage platinum solitaire with a tiny bezel set diamond that I love! But I''d like it to be a little more sparkly...it is a size 4.5 and I need a 3.75. I''d like to add some pave'' diamonds...

I think the band is about 4mm wide, and very substantial ..."heavy"
