2005 Price Increases

Can anyone give me a rough approximation of how much a D-F 1.5-1.6ct VS2-SI1 has increased in price so far this year?

According to this source, the price increase on rough has been approximately 15% over the past 6 months for diamonds in that general range.

Please note that those are rough prices...no idea how much prices of finished product have risen.

The bad news is...those are selling prices to the public. For the consumer, the diamond you purchase will still loose 30-50% of it''s value once you take it off the "showroom floor".

Diamonds are generally not an investment...just nice to look at.
