I discovered this inscription while taking a picture of my single cut eternity, wore the ring for months and had no idea!

Dave to Pearl June 19, 1929

So I named it Pearl’s ring.

This first ring belonged to DH's great grandmother. It's got his great grandparent's initials.
It says "B.F.G. to L.E." they were married in January 1899. It is white gold with yellow gold on the inside.

This second ring belonged to DH's great aunt.
It has the initials "W. E. to E. L. -'08"

Ever since that one band I bought contained an inscription, each time I’ve searched for a new band I always try to find one with an inscription and date because I find it so romantic. I have since acquired a couple and I’m wearing this one today.

Not a ring but this was a wonderful surprise when I found the brooch had a tiny latch that opened up to this inscription.

Oh, that's fascinating! I have a bracelet from that period with two rubies and a diamond, just like that, with a secret compartment that opens and shuts with a very similar mechanism, but no inscription. I can't figure out what the point of the compartment is. It doesn't have glass for a picture or a lock of hair, and it's not clear what you would carry in it. I wonder if it once had an inscription somehow. Though it really doesn't look like it.
