Introducing my newest diamond purchase - 1.06 ctw J SI1 martini earrings! I had our first child, Kate, on March 9th, and like any other good PSer, I wanted a blingy push present to celebrate. These earrings were my Push Present/first Mother''s Day present from hubby. I absolutely LOVE them!
The story of my AWESOME experience with Brian Gavin Diamonds...
I first purchased a pair of 0.82 ctw I SI2 excellent cut earrings from Blue Nile, and while I liked them, I just wasn''t 100% happy. Since I had 30 days to return them, I decided to keep looking around to see if I could find anything else. About that time, I read some raving reviews for Brian Gavin Diamonds on PS and thought I should email Lesley and see what they had in stock. Of course, she got back to me right away. While they didn''t have any Signature H&A stones in my color/clarity preference, she said they would probably get something soon. After a few weeks of waiting and many emails back and forth, I decided that I was ready to finalize my purcahse. I found another pair of stones on Blue NIle''s website that I liked, 1.05 ctw J SI2 stones. Lesley also quoted me a price for those stones, but the BGD price was a little higher, so I pulled the trigger and purchased from BN. A couple hours after I made the purchase, I emailed Lesley to let her know I had decided to go somewhere else. She was very kind in her response and mentioned in her email that they would consider a price match if I were interested in the future. I immediately picked up the phone and called her, because I really wanted to make the purchase from BGD after all the delightful correspondence I''d had with Lesley. I called BN immediately and cancelled my order.
Since I''d already finalized the purchase with BN, the stones were no longer available to BGD and Lesley said that we might need to wait a couple days for them to come available again after I cancelled my order with BN. I told her that was fine. Not 30 minutes after that call, Lesley called back and said that she had another idea. She had talked with Brian and since I was being so loyal to them and their new business, she found 2 other stones - two 0.53ct J, SI1 (higher clarity) that she would sell to me for the same price/carat as the J, SI2 stones! Not only that, but they would also honor the stones for upgrade (all Signature stones are available for upgrade, but virtual inventory is on a case-by-case basis) should I want to upgrade in the future! So bottom line was that I received nicer clarity stones at a lower price than I was paying at BN AND I also had the option to upgrade! They ordered in the stones, and they looked great. I am SO thrilled at how they turned out!
BGD is amazing! They were so patient with my countless emails (I probably exchanged close to 50 emails and 4 or 5 phone calls with Lesley), the quality of their workmanship is impeccable, and their pricing/policies is second to none! If you are considering BGD for a project, please don''t hesitate - you won''t be disappointed! I don''t think I''ve EVER received customer service that rivaled what Lesley and BGD provided. I can''t say enough great things about my buying experience from them. There aren''t many times when I make a purchase of this size and and am absolutely delighted with every aspect. I can''t wait to start my new project with them!
