Re: Dust for my new rescue pup

Ohh, poor Gambit and Mama! It's such a helpless feeling when kids (human or four legged) are sick. I will be praying for him! He's adorable!

Re: Thanksgiving Pies & Dinner

We are boring. I will make the standard pumpkin, pecan and apple pies. The most rebellious I get is making an apple crisp instead of a pie because I prefer the crisp topping to pie crust. My Dad drives this because every time we suggest something new or different, he says that's fine as long as we ...

Re: Losing my engagment ring and finding hope.

That said, several of you have pointed out that there is strength in accepting help when needed, and have already started by sending gifts (despite my attempts to talk you out of them). ) Accepting help is MUCH harder than giving it (at least for me). I learned that a few weeks ago when my 10 year ...

Gypsy, I am so sorry for all that you are going through. The fact that you are able to look at the positives in your life are a testament to your character and spirit. I truly hope that 2017 brings only wonderful things your way...you more than deserve it. And I hope by some miracle, your e-ring tur...

Re: Question for Yennyfire!

A picture is worth 1000 words! It's much easier to have a convo with someone about what you want when referencing a photo. That, and be as specific as possible! Please post photos once it's on your finger!

Re: Question for Yennyfire!

Chiming in late. I actually copied TGal'a ring with her blessing. DS is correct, it was made by Singlestone and yes, their prices have increased significantly. I've never seen Caysie's work in person, but from photos, I do think she could copy this style ring and do an amazing job.

Re: NYT live election forecast

Just this. I am dreading 6:30 when I wake my kids and they ask who won. No one won. We all lost. Of course, that's not what I'll tell them. Not sure how to spin this for a 10 and 11 year old. I wouldn't "spin" it; I would tell them the truth: America has a process whereby everyone gets a ...

Re: The I VOTED!!! Thread

I voted last week. Took three attempts. The lines were 2+ hours the first two times I tried. The third time, my DH agreed to get the kids off to school and I got in line at 7:00am (polls opened at 8:00). Even an hour early, I was 42nd in line! Aarrgghh. Took 90 minutes, but I did it. I remember 12 y...

Re: Never Forget!!! Sept. 11

I will never forget. Karl, I too, cry every time I remember this day and the days that followed. This year was a bit different, as we felt our 11 year old was old enough to see some of the footage and have a discussion about what happened and why (as much as the "why" can be explained). It...
