Re: Three-Stone Bezel Reset - David Klass

It's gorgeous! From one 3 stone lover to another, you created a stunning ring! The color of the gold is yummy and the bezels and basket design are TDF!! Nice job! Enjoy "her" in health and happiness!

Re: Did Someone Say Chicken???

They are really cute, but I doubt we will be adding any to our menagerie of pets. We took the kids to Colonial Williamsburg last year and went to Jamestown Plantation where they have chicken roaming freely. Well, one took a "liking" to DD (age 7 at the time) and started chasing her. Everyw...

Re: My Never-ending Diamond Upgrade Saga: 2.56 Carat OEC

She's perfect! I think your journey was like mine....I had to live with each piece for a bit before I could decide what worked about it for me and what didn't...all of that led me to my perfect stone and setting. So happy that you have found yours! Enjoy her!!

Re: Q about OECs. Why do most PSers prefer...

My antique oval is a GIA "E" and I love it. However, my 3 stone ring has H/I's (according to Ari...they don't have certs) and I love them too....I also like the warmer tones for exactly the reasons Erica stated. I think that antique stones have a personality that modern stones don't and th...

Great thread DeeJay! I'm probably even more technically challenged than you are and I'm limping along with a laptop with no "N" key that is slow as molasses and old as dirt, mostly because I find the prospect of shopping for a new one worse than shopping for a new car or bathing suit!! Hop...

Re: My 20,000th post salutes $20,000 giver

Nice story Kenny! That happened to an acquaintance of mine here in GA this week. She went to Walmart to pay on her layaway and found out that someone had paid the balance in full! I love gestures like this! What a selfless thing for someone to do!!

Happy 20K!! Looking forward to the next 20!!

Re: Marble Countertops?

I just got Taj Mahal quartzite for our bathroom. Looks like marble, but is stronger than granite. The only downside is that it's super $$$ ($170-200 per Sq. ft), but I only need enough for our vanity, bench seat in shower and shower "lip". We had marble growing up (in the bathroom I shared...

Re: acute seized quadratus lumborum

Sending gentle hugs Begonia. I've lived with bouts of acute lower back pain for years, stemming from carrying a heavy laptop bag on one shoulder when I traveled 5 days a week for work. I literally woke up one day in terrible pain (worse than unmedicated labor) and passed out from the pain. My parent...

How large are the stones and are you looking for daily wear or special occasion? That would impact the design direction IMO.

Re: Poll:do you think this is weird? Sibling names

My advice would be to go with your heart and the naysayers/bullies be d*mned! When I was pg with DS, hubby and I couldn't agree on even one name and basically chose one because we had to. I love the nickname but not the "official" birth certificate name. He's Nathan (I preferred Nathaniel)...

Re: Big Lies In Front of the Kids

Re: Where Would You Go if You Could Only Take One Last Trip

I want to say that I've visited all 7 continents...of course, since the last trip has no time limit, I'd want to spend 3months or so per continent. Then I could die happy (from a well traveled perspective....not saying I would be ready to end my time on earth)...
