Re: Animal rescue -- heartbreaking

I LOVE the work that Noah's Ark does and have admired photos of Tyson so many times - he looks like a gentle, quirky soul. I don't mind you sharing at all; you just never know who might see him and fall in love. I've also seen Patrick - his story is astounding. Having looked at his first pho...

Re: Animal rescue -- heartbreaking

I reposted a picture for Patrick's site last night on my FB wall of a pitbull that a pit rescue has been trying to find a home for, and he's been passed over many times b/c of his appearance. He was used as a bait dog and left on the side of the road when they were done w/him, so he's kinda mangled...

Re: Animal rescue -- heartbreaking

JG-I am writing this with tears running down my face! I am in amazement all the time at how absolutely terrible some humans can treat animals!!! I hope these people get arrested and convicted of animal neglect/abuse!!! What do the authorities actually do in cases like these in your area? I will send...

Re: Kitty dust?

JG-SO sorry to hear sweet Turtledove isn't feeling well!!! I just have a second, so haven't researched anything about it---but we just lost our beautiful boy last month to what was presumed pancreatic cancer and we tried everything to keep him eating. One great thing we came up with was B12 shots-it...

Re: To keep or not to keep, that is the question???

Thank you all for you opinions! I appreciate them!!! It is a gorgeous piece-sparkles like mad and has awesome fine detail work! That said I am still torn, I wore the ring yesterday and tried it out on different fingers and am still unsure if it looks right on me. I feel like my fingers are too short...

I do like the ring and think it is a lovely piece(wouldn't know it from my pics!), but maybe not on my hand!?!?!

To keep or not to keep, that is the question???

I was hoping to get a few opinions of this diamond band. I usually love anything art deco and anything somewhat unique, but don not know if this band looks right on my hand. I am thinking it may look nicer on someone with long, slender fingers. Any thoughts? deco_diamond_13stone_band2.jpg deco_diamo...

Re: Hand creams

I wonder if that O'Keefes stuff is at like walgreens. Ill have to try that. We order ours off of Amazon as well. I am going to try locally first, I generally don't give my money to Amazon, they're to me as bad as Walmart who I also refuse to give my money to. I agree-wouldn't give them my money if ...

Re: Hand creams

I too hate anything greasy on my hands, but it is a necessity in the winter for me. This winter I have been using Burt's Bees Hand Salve-it is in a tin and goes on quit thin and stays greasy for about 5 minutes and then soaks in and doesn't leave me feeling slimy at all. My hubby uses O'Keeffe's Wor...

Dust request for Sick Cat :(

Hoping for some healing PS Dust for our sick cat. He is having a few more small tests run today to see if there is any sliver of hope for getting him well. He is 14yrs old and began losing weight and eating like crazy about a month and a half ago. Has had lots of tests and we are trying lots of rand...

Re: gluten free recipes?

Have you tried Udi's or Rudi's(doesn't stay together as well as the Udi's but tastes OK) bread? Also, most GF bread tastes best toasted. Tinkyada rice pasta is quit edible. I have yet to find any great GF bread recipes for sandwich bread types, the sweet breads-like banana, those I have unfortunatel...

Re: Your thoughts: is my pear too big to be a side stone?

I wanted to say that I think with the stones set with the right height and angles that your pear could work nicely as a side stone.

These pears are 6.5mm in length with the center being 8mm wide on a size 7 finger.

Good Luck :)

Re: Sick Cat-questions

Good news that he is eating well on the new food (but it is a feline food, right? Dog food isn't sufficient for cats). And B-12 is good - I have 2 of my cats on that too. Hopefully we'll see a good recovery! Yes it is a raw diet for cats-don't let the name throw you :) He will also still get a litt...

Re: They're growing!

I asked our Vet what we had given our furball when he was younger to help with the diarrhea and slow weight gain. It was a vitamin/mineral supplement. She said it is no longer on the market and its replacement is not exactly the same combo. It had an array of B vitamins, iron, and a pre and probioti...

Re: Sick Cat-questions

Finally got some more test results back and it looks like he is extremely B12 deficient. So, we began B12 shots and his new food arrived and he loves it(I decided to try the Canine Caviar canned food), hopefully his tummy will too!!! The funny thing is, is that yesterday before the Vet called I was ...

Re: Connecticut elementary school shooting

Knives is not worst case...a bomb is. Think Timothy McVeigh. And those supplies are easy to get. Just sayin'. They also require more intelligence than a gun, knife, or baseball bat. Or at least they used to - not so sure with the Internet now, and its step-by-step guides. :nono: Sadly-that doesn't ...

Re: Connecticut elementary school shooting

There's no evidence Adam Lanza was mentally ill. He had Asperger's, which is a developmental disorder, not a mental illness. A question: If a woman gets pregnant. When is she considered pregnant? When a fertilized egg successfully attaches itself and starts to develop; or when some "medical pr...

Re: Sick Cat-questions

Thanks for checking in! I am thinking lost specimen! Other than that, he stil...
