Hey msskibunny, i like the lucida setting from tiffanys. from what i've seen, it works very well w/ a princess cut. go to www.dvatche.com and check out the x-setting. it looks a lot like the tiffany's setting. |

Thanks mikesgirl. For some reason, I didn't see the side cut before. I really like the cathedral one as well. Also, I went to D. Vatche and looked at some of the settings. I really like the one w/ the cross, similar to the Tiffany Lucida. |

First I wanted to thank everyone on this board. I''ve learned so much over the past few weeks about finding the right diamond. I feel like I made a very educated decision. I got a princess diamond (I can give you the specs later), and I''m looking for a setting right now. Are there pictures anywhere... |

NYC insurance! Who''s the best/cheapest?
I called a few insurance places and I''ve gotten quotes for around $500. Some make me buy renter''s insurance. Others allow me to get the Personal Articles Insurance by itself. 1) Is that quote high? 2) What is the cheapest insurance company out there? 3) Do I legally need to have renter''s insuranc... |

Thanks for the information folks. One more thing, why are round diamonds typically more expensive than the fancy cuts, given the same specifications? |

Princess vs. Round
From speaking w/ my coworkers, I''ve learned that the appraised value of their diamond was more than what they pay for it. The range is 30-100%. 1) Is there a typical range? 2) Do certain cuts, princess vs. round, that appraise at a higher percentage than the sale price? Thanks! |

54% table, 62.7% depth. Table\Depth combo ok?
I have been learning about diamonds for the past week, so I am a novice. just saw a D colored diamond, VS1 w/ a 54% table and 62.7% depth. I don''t know what the crown and pavilion angles are. How do you get those numbers by the way? The table looked rather small compared to the other diamonds I''ve... |
