Re: what are your favorite pizza topping/s?

I know I don't like thin crust, and I'm not into pizzas with alternative sauces like bbq or alfredo sauce. BUT, any topping on tomato pizza sauce on a hand tossed or deep dish crust is a go! We always get the works on a pizza :)

Re:

Funny how this thread popped up again. Yesterday a coworker came and told me that she's 18 weeks along, and she wanted to tell me before I start wondering about her protruding belly! I honestly had not noticed her increasing belly size because she always wore loose flowy tunic styles due to her body...

Re: Why having daughters is better than having sons

My son said he can provide financial support to my daughter who can actually be our caregiver. I actually asked them about this loaded question when I saw this thread, bless their hearts, they are only 12 and 10!

Re: Do you eat fast food? How often and what?

I eat fast food (the kind with drive thru) about 1X or 2X a month. My fast food choice is usually of the healthy variety, el pollo loco, or some type of grilled chicken salad Lately I've discovered Flame-broiler. Although it's more of a takeout than a fast food place, I'm getting addicted. I eat th...

Re: When do you get your US mail delivered?

Sad thing is that I can't even vote, because I have no clue! I don't get home until 7PM every night, and mail has already been picked up by my husband. Due to budget cuts, there's no more Saturday delivery here in CA. I'm in San Diego and still have Saturday delivery??? ETA: It was proposed but the...

Re: Moms, is this okay for your 12-yr old son to watch?

I have a 12 year old son who takes music lessons and I would not be happy if that was shown to him during his lesson. If I happened to watch it with him at home by accident it would be no big deal because if he asked about it I could explain. My son takes lessons in a similar manner that you teach,...

Re: Setting Remorse?

Is it enough to upgrade your center stone? Maybe your DH thinks the current one is it. I also like solitaire look so prefer to spend money on the center rather than setting. Actually 3-5K is not enough to upgrade my centerstone where size would be noticeable. I have a 1.81 ct, and to see a noticeab...

Re: Setting Remorse?

I have been thinking of a custom cushion halo for my round stone, with a plain shank.....got a quote from Victor Canera, then chickened out. I'm afraid of not loving the look since I really love simplicity, and it would be a pricey mistake!

Now I'm thinking of upgrading my studs  Not "THE" stud, but my BGD .85 tcw studs!
For 3-5K I can probably get to 1.5 tcw!

Re: A little dust for my son

Praying for your son and family. It must be hard for you to hear of his condition. Hopefully further tests will provide a better prognosis, and plan of action to ease your fears.

Setting Remorse?

Have you ever purchased an expensive setting, or had one custom made, and then decided you didn't like it at all? I purchased an expensive Ritani setting once, and then decided the sidestones were too big and overpowered the center. Bought it for $3100, and sold it for about half the price! I am com...

Re: KIDS What Would You Have Done Differently?

I thought of a very important one last night.....I wish I had raised my kids bilingual. I'm of Chinese (Taiwanese and Mandarin) and Japanese heritage. My husband is full Korean, but cannot speak Korean very well. I wish I had stuck to speaking Mandarin to my kids when they were younger. I tried to t...

Re: What do you like to drink?

I just realized the title of the thread differs from the premise of the poll..... :cheeky:
I like to drink Jack and diet, but the alcoholic drinks I drink most often are red wine and beer, because it's readily available at home, dh always keeps those in stock ;))

Re: In the home stretch... 36 weeks preg!

I was gigantic all over during my pregnancies, and could not wear my wedding set (size 5.25) from the first trimester onwards! Re: KIDS What Would You Have Done Differently?

So far so good (crossing fingers), so I don't know what I'd do differently until I see the fruits of my labor as adults. They are 12 and 10. One thing that I can't seem to understand, is that I always have to prompt they to say please and thank you. I feel that at this age, they don't need to be pro...

Re: Child's Birthday Party RSVP

As the kids get older, it gets even more tricky....Sometimes my kids don't even say anything, or give me the invitation they received until the party day has passed. Then I appear to be the "rude" parent who didn't bother to RSVP. I've also run into parents at school who ask me if my kids ...

Re: Do you mind the question, "What do you do?"

I don't mind it because I'm gainfully employed at the moment, and I have no issue with sharing my work info, however I may not be okay if I were not working or in a bad place in my life, I'd find it really nosy and intrusive. That being said, I would never ask someone "What do you do" unle...

Re: Child's Birthday Party RSVP

So I’ve got myself in a bit of a pickle. My son’s turning 4 and, for the first time, he wanted to invite his friends. He’s in daycare and the only means for me to communicate with the other parents is by putting a note in the child’s cubbie/mail slot. I decided to invite all of the children. There ...

Re: What is the best age to have kids?

Based on personal experience I'd say late 20's, early 30's for all the reasons I mentioned in the other thread. Dh and I married at 28 and 27 respectively. We both had a few years in our respective careers, I'd finished my master's degree, and we had purchased our first house by 29. That is when bab...

Re: Do you own nicer jewelry than your boss?

Re: Do you regrets having kids?

Funny thing is that my husband's little sister always told us that she was too selfish to have kids and she was not crazy about other people's kids either. She ended up succumbing to societal pressures, and pressure when her husband's biological clock started ticking around 36, so she had one at 37...

Re: Do you regrets having kids?

I haven't read through everyone's replies, but I can say that I don't have one ounce of regret. My kids are my everything and I have always wanted kids (my biological clock was ticking ever since I hit puberty), perhaps because I had a great childhood and so did my husband. I dated a couple guys who...
