Re: Poll: how often do you clean out your car?

My current car and my last car were my babies. I make the kids take out all their trash and wipe down scuff marks with leather wipes regularly. When I sold my 10 year old Lexus RX330 this past April, I got top dollar for it, and no one could believe it was 10 years old, and gone through 2 kids. I pl...

Re: What's your e-ring's opposite style?

What a cool thread! I have a blinged out ring with tons of pave, intricate gallery, split shank, and double sided halo. The opposite of my ring would be six prong solitaire. My ring: http://www.pricescope.com/files/images/ring1_47.jpg http://www.pricescope.com/forum/files/icp/imageupl...

I haven't tried this but I always go first to Heloise!

Thanks! I love rooibos, and they leave awful stains. I always have a mug sitting on my nightstand overnight, so washing right away is not always possible.

Fellow tea lovers, while we are on the topic....how do I remove the rings left on the inside of a teacup? When it's been sitting a while?

Re: What's the meaning of your PS user name?

Mine is self explanatory I guess....my son's name + mom. He was my only baby at the time I joined PS 10 years ago, but I have a daughter now too, so she wants me to change my screen name

Re: Favorite tea?

I like herbal teas such as rooibos and chamomile. Since they do not contain caffeine, they really help me get better sleep, and I drink them every night! A lot of people don't realize the health benefits of rooibos either, super duper anti oxidants, hundreds of times higher than green tea. I can hon...

Ugh, I guess I can vent here.....he is a "vaper". He does on Vaping (e-cigarette) forums and they discuss stuff like longest lasting battery packs, bronze vs, chrome finishes, trading, selling, buying O-rings and different flavors. I HATE it, despise it, can't stand seeing any of it! he ha...

Re: Stuffing:how do you make it?

I buy Mrs. Cubbison's corn bread stuffing, follow box instructions for the most part, except I add breakfast sausage, and I bake in a dish instead of stuffing in a turkey. I like my stuffing to be dryer and crispier on top, and I can't achieve that stuffed inside a turkey.

Re: Cranberry Sauce: how do you like it?

I make an old-school cranberry jello mold with crushed pineapple and walnuts. I learned it from an ex-boyfriend's mom. She gave me a lot of 70's recipes. Looks somewhat like the picture below I found online.

Do friends or family ask to try on your e-ring?

I have one family member and also one friend that always asks to try on my e-ring. I let them because I don't see them that often, and like to see what my ring looks like on other people's hands. Both of these lades keep it on for as long as 10 minutes, while the ooh and ah and pose with the ring on...

So sorry to hear of Murray's health! I can commiserate....I had several pets growing up (while living with my parents) and also when I was single and moved out on my own. Re: Time from acquiring a ring till the proposal?

1 hour! He actually proposed without a ring, and we went ring shopping the following weekend. From the time I choose the diamond and setting, we waited 1 hour for the ring to be set (while we watched) and the minute I got into the car, he dropped on one knee in the parking lot, re-proposed and put t...

Re: Proposing with just a diamond

Maybe it's because I was proposed to in my early '30s, when most people have outgrown princess fantasies and are thinking in practical terms. The man proposed to me without a diamond or a ring. I said yes, and then we picked out the ring, together. I don't see anything wrong with that. Neither of u...

Pet Peeve: Tabloid e-ring guestimates

Does it drive you mad when a tabloid writer clearly doesn't know anything about diamonds? They throw out random numbers, gets the shape wrong, or the most frustrating thing is not know the difference between carats and karat.

Here is any example of Lauren Conrad's "3-carat honker".

Re: Post your 7 and 9 stone rings!

My 7-stone is 0.71 tcw, F-G stone is about 10 pt (all ideal cut). I got it from the Facets collection of Signed Pieces years ago. I like the 10 pointers because the band is substantial enough to wear on it's own.

My solitaire is 1.81 ct, and both rings are sized 5.5

Re: What is your favorite fish for eating?

I like fish with lots of fish oil, and has intense flavor.....mackerel, sardines, salmon etc. My hubby and kids like non-flavorful fish such as cod, halibut and tilapia. We end up eating tilapia the most due to low cost, and commonly found in standard American supermarkets.
