Re: Ladies, how do you feel about aging?

Why are we fighting a losing battle? Why is it so difficult for most women to accept aging as a natural process and that by the time we at 80, there's really nothing to be done about it? This is puzzling for me as I've never bothered with such things. Even if one slows it down with surgery and what...

Re: Ladies, how do you feel about aging?

Mom Happy, I could not agree with you more about the magnified mirror. The only problem is without it I would not be able to put on my make up. Well I guess I could but it would not end being where it should be. One of the many joys of being in your fifties. I took my very first selfie yesterday. I...

I was re-reading this thread today and talking to a coworker about it.... I still stand by what I posted earlier about still feeling pretty good about my face and body....when said coworker reminded me that you can always tell a woman's age from her hands and neck. Well, gosh darn it! I thought I c...

Scarves?

What a great idea. Much cheaper than surgery :). I love scarves in winter, but it's 100 degrees in California right now!

Re: What are your favorite / go-to snacks?

Are your portions controlled, jaysonsmom? Like when I say "almonds and raisins" I mean 7-10 almonds and 7-10 raisins. I could eat tons more, but then they'd fall into the naughty category. :/ ETA: oh, and yes, I love chips! I'll add those to the naughty list (although again, if I control ...

Cheese and crackers (cheddar or brie)
Popcorn
Leftovers (cold chicken from fridge)
Root Vegetable Chips (Terra)

I'm a a big snacker, but when I do, I prefer savory snacks. I don't have much of a sweet tooth.

Yes, I went out with my husband to a Vietnamese restsaurant, and the guy bringing me my pho almost dropped the bowl, and said: "Your ring is blinding me!"

Well, having gone from a RB, to a Princess and back to an RB, I'm wondering if it is the center stone that doesn't sing to you? Re: This Is What ONE Serving Of Pasta Looks Like

I know that looks like very little pasta, but want to reiterate that carbs are not the cause of obesity . If you look at most diets around the world (especially Asia), rice and noodles are the stable and make up about 70-90% of the meal. It's really calories in vs. calories out. Period. I eat about ...

Yes, Halos are not for everyone.....I have wavered and gotten quotes for a halo setting from several vendors, but when I stare at my solitaire, I still think it is a classic that I'll love forever, so I can't pull the trigger.

This is one you see in my neck of the woods a lot. Women who wear spandex workout clothes all day long because they want to show off their bodies. Re: Finding Tiny Dress Pants

Only 2 things I can think of....buy the smallest 0 or 00 and get them tailored at a cheap alteration place (usually found at dry cleaners) or you can check out the Asian fashion boutiques (usually Vietnamese or Korean owned), found in strip malls. Their sizes are probably more in line with yours.

Re: Ladies, how do you feel about aging?

I'm feeling okay with aging so far. I'm 42, but feel 10 years younger. I just have to spend an hour 5-7 days a week in the gym to maintain my figure! I feel leaner and more attractive now than when I was in my 20's (when I still had baby fat), and I still get noticed by guys from teenagers to senior...
