What type of gifts do you like to receive?

Since the holidays are soon upon us, I was wondering what types of gifts you like to receive? I'll start: I love scarves and socks, can never have enough I also love bath and body works stuff, like scented candles, lotions.... Lastly, I love kitchen gadgets. Even though I'm an avid cook, I don't hav...

Re: Who is your favorite person?

:cheeky: .Myself. I get annoyed with everyone I spend a ton of time with, but I never get tired of spending time alone by myself. Yes, narcissistic....but I just enjoy "me" time. My husband and kids are a close second though!

Re: What is your typical breakfast?

Coffee with non-dairy creamer, and whatever I can scrounge up from dinner/lunch leftovers. So, I have very interesting breakfasts, it could be enchiladas, steak, soup, pasta, salad......everything and anything goes. My kids and husband always get traditional breakfast foods though. Cereal, toaster w...

Re: Selective when wearing big jewels?

I live and work in So. Cali where my 1.8ct solitaire is not really considered "big enough" to garner much notice. My pendant and studs are also modest sizes, so I tend to wear these pieces everywhere...work, gym, grocery store. However, when travel to other countries for work, I usually le...

Re: Buy this peaceful, pleasant, calming CT house

Well, I'll be the first to say a couple nice things:

1) Colors used in the house are warm, and they all match.
2) Price on the beautiful property is pretty awesome. Great for someone who wants a complete teardown project.

Re: Question for those of you who have lost weight

Aging has definitely changed my weight distribution, but it could also be childbirth, who knows? I'm in my early 40's and although I weigh about the same as I did when I got married at 27, my shape went from hourglass to rectangle. I'm flatter on top, thicker in the middle and hips stayed the same.

Re: Question for those of you who have lost weight

My rock bottom was when my first true love broke up with me because his mom told him I was too big at such a young age (20) and if he ever had kids with me, I'd become as huge as a house, and he would have to hide me and never be seen in public with him again. Around the same time I decided I was go...

Re: Please Talk to Me About Your Sofa

I love our family room sofa, it is a sectional from Macy's in a olive-brown microfiber. It is by far the most comfortable surface in our house, and I'd rather nap on the sofa than go to my room. The color is also great if you have young kids, dirt does not show, and the multi-directional quality of ...

Re: A kid question

I would make it YOUR personal policy as a teacher, and tell the student to turn off his phone during lessons. My kids are 14 and 12. Their school policy does not allow them to use their phones on during the school day. If they are caught using their phone during class, the teacher has the right to c...

Re: Miracle workers - jumbo backs. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

I also had to get jumbo backs when I got my small .85 tcw studs from BGD a couple years ago, but now I can't NOT wear wear them. I use the jumbo backs for every pair of earrings I own because they make my earings look much better, and my earlobes less droopy. I have droppy lobes and stretched out ho...

Re: How often do you wear your ring?

I wear my wedding set, plus anniversary ring stacked, pretty much 24/7. However, my rings get a bath when I jump in the shower. So, when I get washed, my rings get washed too. They are soaked in commercial jewelry cleaner and scrubbed with mini brush. I even wear them in the gym, I do worry that I'l...

No I am not faithful when I dream, and I wake up feeling super guilty. They odd thing is that I have dreams about doing stuff with people I'm not even attracted to, at least not consciously attracted to.

Re: Largest ct size for daily wear?

I wear a 1.8 ct RB solitaire, and feel that this is perfect for daily wear. I never feel self conscious about its size, because it is the norm in my social circle to have between a 1-2 carat. I also have it set fairly low, so I never knock it into anything. I'm not the type of person who likes to st...

Re: My ring get so tight during the summer ...

I have big knuckles, so my rings are sized 5.25 or 5.5 to accommodate my knuckle size. The bottom part of my fingers are <5, so though my fingers my swell a little in the summer, my rings just go from super loose, to fitting perfectly. As long as I don't take them on and off too often to clean etc, ...

Re: The ultimate weight loss tool

I have been wearing braces for the past year and a half, and eating has become such a pain, that I have lost 12lbs. The first 7 came off in the first month! Yes, braces and retainers are great for weightloss. So in another year. I'm going to have beautiful teeth, and a knockout body haha!

Re: How do you feel about what you do for a living?

I'm ambivalent about my job. I work for a global company in the food and beverage industry. Some days I feel like just another cog in the wheel, other days I feel I contributed a ton to the expansion of the brand. Mostly the work is just so so, but I like the employee perks, so I gave it a 7.

Re: How much compromise with e-ring?

I would respect his budget but I wouldn't compromise on the e-ring style at all. Re: Do you find this pic disgusting or beautiful?

I definitely did not find it disgusting, I just thought it was natural. My husband showered with both my kids (boy and girl) up until they were about 5 or 6, and old enough to make comments about his body. I was squeamish with young babies, afraid they would slip out of my arms, so and the bathing r...

Re: Let's hear it for the new plus-sized male models

So glad to hear so many of you like the "plus" size thicker guys. More skinny-mini's for me! Apparently I like them REALLY skinny, dated a guy who was 6'4" and 180 lbs, another 5'11 and 138lbs. My husband is 5'8" and around 152lbs, and I think he looks too muscle-y. He looked the...
