Re: Eyelashes!

I've been using Latisse for over a couple years, but I feel that it is no longer working for me, before that I was using ReVitalash. I guess I'll try your new find :) especially since I'm lacking in the eyebrow department too.

Re: What's your favorite online clothing store?

I'm pretty easy to fit.... so I buy most of my clothes online. My faves are Loft, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Nordstroms, Macy's and Kohls. I like these stores because they are all nearby in case I have to return anything...but for the most part, I know my sizes in those brands and have rarely had ...

Re: Do You Feel This Is "Bridal"?

Agree with most of what everyone said above. A small and tastefully placed transparent panel here and there is fine, but full display of undergarments is just tacky, and I do not think they look bridal at all. I love the pantsuits. More is more in my opinion. I'm a pretty convervative 40+ year old t...

Re: Another drinking thread....advice requested

I'm pretty health conscious and weight conscious, so I use those reasons to keep myself in check. A recent study showed that one glass of red wine a day is equivalent to an hour at the gym, so that amount beneficial for one's health. Therefore, I don't go beyond a glass 'cos then it is just empty ca...

Re: Words some people still use that most find offensive...

This one has not been mentioned...I get extremely miffed when people curse or exclaim using religious references, and it's usually those that are oblivious that it is offensive to Christians to hear the Lord's name spewed out for anything and everything that's gone south. Oh Geez!!!! (came from the ...

Re: Which is your favorite type of apple?

My husband and kids will only eat fuji f and honey crisp apples. I like galas as well. I never buy granny Smith, too tart for all of us.

Re: What is your Fast Food weakness?

Jaysonsmom, Jack in the Box has eggrolls ? We don't have that chain here, but I thought it was a burger place. I guess my fast food weakness would be french fries. I used to love shakes, too, but I haven't had one in years. Yes, Jack in the box has lots of stuff beyond burgers and fries. They have ...

What is your Fast Food weakness?

I hardly ever eat fast food, I'm talking about once a month if that.....well, today I passed by Jack in the Box at lunch time AFTER I ate a healthy lunch of grilled chicken and broccoli...and bought 3 eggrolls, and DEVOURED it. I'm not ashamed to say, even though I'm Chinese....JACK IN THE BOX HAS T...

Re: What do mom's of 4 drive other than a van?

I hit submit too soon....forgot to mention, that when my kids were both in car seats, a minivan was the best thing ever! Dual sliding doors easy accessibility...and I only have two kids! If you want a cool suv, wait til the kids are all out of car seats and can get themselves in and out of the third...

Re: What do mom's of 4 drive other than a van?

All the big American SUVs mentioned so far will work. My husband had the Ford flex as a company car for a couple years, and we loved it....roomy and not too high up if you need to hoist kids into car seats. I have trouble getting in and out of a Tahoe, and I'm 5'7! I have an Audi Q7, and my brother ...

Re: Work out clothing and shoes

I work out a lot, and own everything from target champion brand, old navy work out clothing to the high end Athleta/lululemon stuff. I have to say the high end stuff pay for themselves over time, the elasticity, the color etc stay great after millions of washes, and are well worth the money IMO.

Re: Is anyone in China?

What about gown rentals? I know lots of Chinese photography studios (I'm in southern California) that rent out qipao's for the day? Re: How many times have you upgraded your E-ring..

In the past 10 years, only once.

however, we've been married 15 years this year, and I upgraded once in the first 5 years.

so total 2X

Different settings for each upgrade. So I've had 3 different stones and 3 different settings.

Re: My Engagement Ring, 1st and Final Upgrade (I promise!)

It's probably just the cut. There's old stones have that cut, I think. In any event, they look beautiful. Congratulations on the anniversary - and the beautiful rings. For me, it was more about the color descriptions. The larger diamonds were lower in color supposedly, yet look whiter in the pictur...

Re: After you kick the bucket...

I asked my kids tonight, and my son (12) and daughter (10) said unanimously that it should go to my daughter. When I asked them why, he said he'll buy his wife diamonds. My daughter just said they're hers because she is my daughter, if I give it to my son, he'll give it away to his wife.

Re: Does your hubby wear a wedding band?

My husband wears 95% of the time, the only time he takes it off is when he's at the gym, and that is where he lost his platinum comfort fit band a few years ago. What are you frugal with?

Since most PSers seem to put their money into bling, in what areas would you consider yourself to be frugal with?

For me:
Clothing (love outlets and discount stores)
Make-up (drugstore brands)
Vacations (usually paid company trips become pseudo vacations)
Hair (color myself, cut 2x a year)

Re: Do you feel heavier than you weigh?

I found the picture to illustrate how you can be at the ideal weight according to charts, but feel flabby and big...it's all about the composition of your body, is it more fat or muscle? Exercise helps a lot! I'm 140+ of pure muscle (me thinks :cheeky: )
