Re: New diamond concerned about h showing vanilla in certain

Radiants can be almost chameleon like in their ability to pick up color from their surroundings, and will look different depending on the lighting they are in, the color of the walls, the color of the sky if you're outside, the trees, etc. It's one of my favorite traits about them. I'd personally en...

Re: Would you work in jewelry full time?

Kenny, nawwwww, I don't believe it! :errrr: I did in the retail selling part & didn't like it. Loved the customers; some of the jewelry was nice, some was icky. I love selling when I believe in the product, but if not, I just can't fake it . Hated recommending pieces that weren't all that great...

Re: Which ring do you covet most on Pricescope????

For me, it's cflutist's pear, Ametheyst's Dreamy (even though it has now changed hands), and this one (but I don't remember who's it is). I'm a huge radiant cut fan!

Re: Trade members: Show us your ONE favorite piece! A little

It was so hard for me to pick just one because I've worked with many clients over the past nine+ years, but the clean lines of the Empire Deco inspired ring we recently made has me completely smitten! I love clean lines, channel setting, and the elegance of the custom cut squares just makes me swoon...

This. The parents are I'm sure inconsolable, and the daycare provider will have this on her for the rest of her life. I couldn't even begin to imagine the pain both sides are in. :blackeye:

Re: Repeat Baby Showers

Baby showers aren't for celebrating the baby. They're specifically for showering the mom-to-be with gifts she needs. So showers are not appropriate for second or third babies IMO. If you want to celebrate subsequent babies, there are other ways to do that without a shower! Second and third and four...

Re: Show me your BEST purchase since finding PS!!!

Without a doubt my replacement engagement ring (lost my 1.61 carat round before I started working for Wink). It took waiting a few years for the perfect-for-me stone to come along, and it was worth the wait! I wanted something between .65ct and a 3/4 carat, and no whiter than an H (warm stone lover ...

Re: Would you feel guilty if someone asked you this Q..

I'm typically a very easy-going person. I'm upbeat, optimistic, and go out of my way to be nice to people. However, in real life a question like this would seriously piss me off, and I would no doubt shoot back an equally offensive answer...probably something along the lines of, "Well, our four...

Re: Need advice from our vendors, please.

Hey Gypsy! You may want to check out Stuller's #4586. Not available in two-tone, and it doesn't have the scalloping in the gallery but it is the right size for the design you want and it's a nice low-profile setting.

Re: Do You Wear Perfume?

I have three favorites, Dolce & Gabbana's The One (the original), Armani Code, and Boucheron Trouble. Trouble has been discontinued as far as I am aware, and haven't worn Code in several years but The One is my daily favorite. On me, it's soft, warm and delicate. Once in a while I'll combine The...

Re: Finger rash under ring?

Just out of curiosity, are you leaving your rings on while you wash your hands? As a mom, I found myself CONSTANTLY washing my hands with babes in the house, and I had an issue with my wide wedding band where water was getting trapped under the ring. The combo of water, wider band, and antibacterial...

Re: Calling DS and anyone else with the Tiffany Legacy band

I wear a 2.4mm channel set T&Co. eternity band with my Vatche "Grace" halo, and I absolutely love it. Bead set eternity bands are not for me because of how active I am with my hands, and would just make me nervous. I'd be constantly looking to make sure all of my stones are there.

Re: Moissanite and Asha (manmade) diamond vs real diamonds

This is just my two cents worth, but instead of going back and forth over whether to purchase a moissanite or diamond solitaire, why not go a more unique route, and get her a wider natural diamond band? It will give great finger coverage, sparkle like mad, and be the ring she can use when you exchan...

Re: question for vatche u113 owners

That's going to depend on your finger size. If you wear a standard finger size or larger, of course. If you have an under size 5 finger, it might be difficult.

Re: Hand deliver diamond to Vatche? Other options?

Just a couple of notes. I have the Vatche U-113. I did ask for the 90plat/10iridium. Vatche sets the diamond at a perfect height. You do not need to give them directions on height. I have never seen them set a diamond too low in this setting. You also don't have to adjust the width of the shank bec...

Re: Heating

We average about 200 gallons of oil/month in the winter and at $4/gallon, it's about $800/month. Some months we'll go through a whole tank, which is 275 gallons. Re: Knife-edge or channel-set solitaire e-ring for petite fi

I would suggest the slim X-prong channel set from Vatche (style #165). I called them up and asked about the shank width, and it's only 2.5mm at the widest tapering down to 2.3mm at the bottom of the finger. That sounds "thick" considering how delicate some settings are, but my own ring is ...

Re: Would the photo vs. real life discrepancies bother you?

I have to agree with Karl.

It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. They are not going to wear the ring, you are. If there is something about it that annoys you now, it's not going to get any better with time. It will always be on your mind.
