Re: Anyone Purchase online from James Allen

got the wifes E ring diamond from them, price was amazing and we were able to upgrade in color 2grades and about .17 ct over what the local market has, and saved several hundred on the stone too.
James Allen is good to go

This is my stab at finding you a stone that I think looks promising. Its in the price range, its G color, and 1.2+ carat

see its one of them that was previously suggested before as well. :D

Re: Best Stand Mixer?

Thank you, Texaskj! We may have broken down and joined in on the Kitchen Aid buying fun. :Up_to_something: In the Aqua Sky color. I'm so excited! Now I have to find some semi-healthy recipes to make with it. That said, I'm really looking forward to making cookies for everyone this year! ...

Re: is there a big diff from 1.33ct to 1.5ct?

If your budget for the diamond and setting is $12k, I definitely recommend staying at the 1.3-1.4 range for the diamond especially since you plan to have a halo. I'll second that opinion, given a defined budget of $12k, you're going to get a nicer stone typically staying under that 1.5 mark, and th...

Re: Brian Gavin, James Allen, or Brick and Mortar

I second that opinion, and realize that a typical bricks and mortar store cant operate on the margins a online retailer can. Find yourself a dandy of a 1+ carat in a price you can live with!

Re: Overwhelmed guy looking for some guidance

is a 2.5+ carat diamond in your social circle the norm? As DS stated its best to judge things by those around you. I think the awnser is "it depends" A sharp, solid blow would probably have a bullet in a window or winshield effect with obvious indications. I am sure a diamond expert and most GIA GG's, appraisers, and such are trained to tell a natural feather versus a inflicted/impact crack/feather. De...
