Wow, I really like that. Even though it isn't polite, I'm so curious what that weight in sapphires of that quality set you back--I'd love to do something (more masculine) like that for my own wedding ring. |

Well, after being very very nervous for an entire week of her wearing it, I think I can officially declare there won''t be any allergy problems with this ring. Wheew. |

Allergy ordeal grinds to halt with lovely ending (pics)
Well, to recap, it has been a while since I have been here. I bought a TR-105 tension set in 14K WG for my fiance, but she was horrendously allergic and even after having it platinum plated no dice. Thread and pics for the original ring are here . So, I had to eat the cost of the TR-105 and move on.... |

I don''t know what your attitude is towards your e-ring but I think your statement about being uncomfortable wearing it and rarely wearing it as a result is telling. I know at least for my fiance, she wouldn''t want an e-ring that she wouldn''t wear virtually all the time... so it kind of sounds lik... |

You''re upset, they aren''t great diamonds, he got ripped off. Ok. It''ll probably have to be titanium or platinum, or non-nickel 14k gold (as she wears quite a bit of gold and white gold jewelry regularly, presumably they are all palladium mix or something). I''m going to price out a platinum ($$$) before I go to titanium. |

Feasibility of non-tension TR-105...

Your wedding band is lovely. I like your e-ring as well... are you worried about the exposed e-ring stone? Just to update, looks like, as expected, I am sort of up the creek on this one. My big concern with regards to a new G+A ring is the concern that the foreign metals she's having an allergy to might be an inherent problem with the G+A tempering process--something that might not be solved going with a 18 karat or platinum G+A setting which would still be tempered with their signa... |
