Hi Michael. Without more details it will be hard to get much input. The minimum additional information needed to assess cut quality would be crown and pavilion angles.

In general terms the depth and finish details of the 1.54 are preferable to me, but without knowing crown and pavilion angles and/or seeing an ideal-scope image it's hard to speak as to the other qualities... Face-up color, particularly is influenced by cut quality. If your jeweler can provide a Sarin/Ogi or Helium report we can tell you more.
