Overbudget but lovely: https://enchanteddiamonds.com/diamonds/view/Emerald/GIA-Certified-2-23-Carat-G-Color-VVS2-Clarity-Diamond-GW6E13

Also nice and IN budget, but will likely favor a glassy instead of a fiery appearance: https://enchanteddiamonds.com/diamonds/view/Emerald/GIA-Certified-2-23-Carat-E-Color-VS2-Clarity-Diamond-NDRLK3 9x6 spread though, nothing to sneeze at. It's a large looking stone with a fantastic shape/outline.

For those on a 30k budget for stone: https://enchanteddiamonds.com/diamonds/view/Emerald/GIA-Certified-2-51-Carat-F-Color-VS1-Clarity-Diamond-9VX3ZV (for lurkers).

Thanks you are awesome!

Quick question the one that you like is there any concern on the white on the corners of ASET and not having any blue, also the dept/table? You created a mini monster haha
Look forward to your thought on the other mysterious find.

If you feel as good as you did about the one I missed I'll certainly call Josh first thing tomorrow to get this on hold.

Thx again and apologies on being a pain with all these questions

I've been doing this for 10 years. So yes, I'm quick. ;))

Depth. Don't care as long as it's less than 70. If it's over 70 I expect a discount on pricing for the spread issues that the depth is going to result in. If the stone is shallow (63 or less) then check the crown height on the stone and make sure the stone's crown isn't too flat.

Table. It's not really table that's the issue. I've seen GORGEOUS EC's with huge tables (one of our posters Tacori had one that was a showstopper). It's the crown height. A low crown height means less fire, more of a classic EC "glassy" look. It's not a bad thing. It's just a different look. This is the one that has the large table and the low crown: https://enchanteddiamonds.com/diamonds/view/Emerald/GIA-Certified-2-23-Carat-E-Color-VS2-Clarity-Diamond-NDRLK3 As I said, it is going to favor a more glassy look. But it shouldn't be dismissed. It's a huge stone and has very nice performance all around. Typically we want a minimum crown height of 10% for ECs. For fiery stones we want a crown over 14%. Those numbers aren't found on a lab report so either you need a video that shows the profile of the stone to eyeball it or a SARIN to give you the actual crown height.

As for white corners. The ASET is taken of a static fixed stone. Stones move when on the hand. Ideally we like to see videos so we can see how those facets light up when they move. But those facets should definitely light up. White corners just means that in that one position the ASET is taken in, those facets aren't reflecting light.

Personally I'd pick the ones I like the best and go for it.

You don't wear the lab report on your hand. You wear the stone. So you have to love the look of it. My job is to make sure the stones you pick are in the right zone for performance, so that you are getting a bright and lively stone. But that's a range, and it's not an absolute, especially with fancies.

Many posters that have larger budgets have the flexibility to order more than one stone and see them in person. Returning the stones they don't love. Ideally, that's what we wish everyone could do. Because fancies have personalities. And the right stone for you is going to depend on how much you a particular stone catches your heart.

You are in luck! https://enchanteddiamonds.com/diamonds/view/Emerald/GIA-Certified-2-07-Carat-F-Color-VVS2-Clarity-Diamond-TCHGLA Lovely stone!

This one is also promising, but the facets right at the keel aren't reflecting light from the ASET. Probably a result of the cutter wanting to hit the 2 carat mark, since cutting that step to light performance would have meant it came in under the 2 carat mark. The facet may flash when the stone moves though, but there is no video so I can check that. But I thought I'd post it since it's very budget friendly: https://enchanteddiamonds.com/diamonds/view/Emerald/GIA-Certified-2-0-Carat-G-Color-VS2-Clarity-Diamond-5V9YED

Thanks Gypsy, Pulled the trigger on TCHGLA - one step closer
