I have another post on here that has kind of gotten off subject so I thought I would start a new one. After a lot of consideration and suggestions I have decided to put my efforts into finding the best diamond for my budget and having it set in a simple solitaire and then my fiance and I can concentrate later on a setting they we like (I want this initially to be a surprise). So for my diamond purchase I have a $6000 budget and have decided that I want to stay with something in an AGS Triple 0 or GIA Ideal for the H&A cut. I have done a lot of research on here and from what I have learned cut is the most important.

I would like the biggest and best diamond that my $6000 or less will buy me and I would love the help of more knowledgeable people than myself.

Thanks,
Ric

I'd be comfortable with that, unless you're going for platinum, then you might want to stick to an I, just becuase we don't know her tolerance. Is is white metal she likes?

Actually she mentioned awhile back that she prefers gold instead of white which also leads me to believe I should be fine with a J or higher..right?

Awesome I love gold. Yes, I think a j would do you fine.

Ok so I have been studying and searching....To be honest I have learned more about diamonds than I ever really wanted but hey it's put me in a better buyers seat. Anyway here is a diamond that I have picked out. Can some of the experts give me opinions. The two pictures are the only 2 that I am able to acquire as the vendor where this is located isn't able to take Ideal Scopes.

Looks great.
Though IS & ASET images will be really helpful.
What's the store return policy?

The cut looks wonderful and the proportions are great as well. Should be a beauty! Nice job.
