Hi! I have a small refund and want to spend it on a pink spinel. Please help with any suggestions you have. I would like a true bubblegum pink or hot pink. Small stone of 1-2 ctw is fine. Im including aome options, but im not in love with the color. Dont want purple, if i go for purple I'll get a sapphire.

Here's one that has potential, silky but it helps with extinction and gives these a glow.

This Gemfix stone has caught my eye on numerous occasions, I suspect this stone has serious presence however it looks to have an orange modifier, but that's common with pink/red Spinel.

Tan is the owner of several Ebay stores based in Thailand.

Tan of Gemcatalogue http://stores.ebay.com/GemCatalogue
Tan of Odysseygem http://stores.ebay.com/OdysseyGem
Tan of VVS1gem http://stores.ebay.com/vvs1gem
Tan of Thegemology http://stores.ebay.com/thegemology

By the way what is your budget?

This one has potential (from Tan) but it isn't cheap. 1.49ct and $1130. You could email him with an offer. I can't tell for sure if it has a window or not based on the video.

That might limit shape and size possibilities. What shape is your original e-ring's center stone? And what are it's dimensions?

Sounds like there are limitations to work with. Can you please confirm/clarify?
$600 budget
Shape to fit existing setting?
mm size to fit existing setting?
Hot or bubblegum pink strongly preferred

You're right it's a garnet. It looks beautiful from the photo, and it's large and a good price.

Im thinking i will save up maybe till next winter and get a super nice pink spinel. Size? Maybe 3+ carats. Shape oval or round as i have a EC rhodolite and i dont want the same look. So i will not rush into this. I saw the new jewel of the week, a lovely art deco ring. Id rather get myself something special.

Ill attach a few examples of saved photos of colour i like.

My apologies as i dont remember the sources of the photos i just saved colours i liked,

Other than the first picture, the rest shows the finest quality pink, which means the highest price/ct. This is the main downside for a person with a beer budget but champagne taste.

Hi Chrono, you got that right! Story of my lfe.....but, i bought a lot these past three years: several tahitian pearls, diamond sapphire eternity, sapphire eternity, rhodolite ring with rubues and diam onds, ruby dia huggies, ruby dia half eternity. So, i will try stay away from my jewelers (very hard to do) and i figure if i spend 2k on a stone save some for a halo setting it will be worth it. I was thinking of getting a 1.5 ctw diamond or at leadt 1 ctw yellow diamond. But i love colored stones more. I think id rather have a pink spinel. Here is my lovely rhodolite ring. Ruby and diamond halo.
