I bought a 1.07 unheated burmese color change sapphire (AGL certified) and today just dropped it off to set in a platinum setting with tapered baguette accent stones .19ctw. Picking it up next week, can't wait!

We finally got our sparkly mint garnet from Peter Torraca set. The setting is by Philip Zahm in 18K yellow and white gold. The garnet is 5.88 x 7.81 x 3.83 mm, 1.16 cts, from Merelani, Tanzania. The green doesn't really come through in the pics, though, despite trying to capture it with a DSLR and iPhone in lots of different lights... oh well!

Just now as I was cleaning up misfiled items in the vendor list, I discovered that the list is full, meaning that I got a message that said there are too many urls in the post, and that the maximum is 100. As it is there are 101, but I spaced the WW Ws out in one so it wouldn't look like an url to the code. It seems that we will have to address this issue if additions are ever to be made, whether by practicing good housekeeping by keeping up with sellers who are no longer active, or asking the mods to increase the limit, or both.

I know, I'll ask Ella if we can increase the url limit, if that's even possible. If further additions are ever made, we can type in the URL as text code perhaps (without the www prefix, or like you suggested). Thanks for fixing/cleaning up the list for now.

Freke, I like the reset. It puts the focus on the stone. The other settings had too much metal/design going on. 3rd time was the charm for my reset too.

This is a 3.6 carat reddish/purple spinel I picked up from Tan. I was pleasantly surprised that it does not black out in sunlight. I shot two pics of the stone- one in indoor lower lighting, and one of the stone in a sunbeam streaming in from a window

Thanks Acinom. Tan is the owner of several ebay stores that are listed on the reputable vendor list. Mostly native cut stones, and I have always found his pictures to represent his stones very well. Many times the stones look better than the pictures. I stalk his sites and other vendors looking for a bargain, and it over a year for me to find a stone like this at such a good price. As soon as I saw it I knew it was exactly what I had been looking for.
