Hello all,

I am new to this website - I decided to register in hope that some of you may be able to help me find the perfect stone. I like antique stones and hope to either find a set ring or recreate one.

I came across this stone - anyone has any advice as to its quality. I requested pics.

Hi newbejack, and welcome - I hope you don't mind, but I requested that your thread be moved to Rocky Talky - you'll get more views and replies there.

Really not enough info to address the quality of the stone, with these old cuts you can't rely on numbers and pics are a big help in judging the diamond. It is usually recommended that a diamond of this size be graded by a lab (GIA preferably, although many of these old cuts are graded by EGL). Post pics when you get them!

What is the price of the diamond?

FYI - Jewels by Grace, Love Affair Diamonds, and Old World Diamonds are good sources for old cuts.

Thank you, junebug17! Appreciate your advice - will post the pics and more info when I get them! The price is $13k so i'm not hoping for much...
