Air Purifier Recommendations

We are looking to buy two air purifiers (one for the baby's room, one for downstairs). The kiddo has allergies to cats so we need something that will help with that. Any recommendations? I saw some have HEPA + UV...is the UV necessary? Does it actually do what it says it does (because, if so, we might be interested in it)? We don't want to spend an arm and a leg, I'd say no more than $150 each.

When we used to smoke, it would clear out the smoke COMPLETELY in a couple of hours. Two people, puffing away, that's a lot of smoke. The room was about 20 x 15, and it didn't smell at all, not even a little bit.

I highly recommend, and the filter lasts 3-5 years.

Oh thank you!That says a lot if it worked on smoke, nothing seems to get rid of that!
