Gorgeous Whites!!

I just received these gorgeous ivory drusies (drusy/druzy/hedgehogs -- whatever) and I'm in LOVE!!

They are so shimmery and shiny and just gorgeous.

They came out to 34-35". I really love the length. So versatile.

I just received more drusy's yesterday from Catherine Cardellini. (pics and post to come), but I have to say that these pearls are nicer. I think in part due to the full uniform round shapes. The CC drusy's are halves and kind of all over the place shape wise, but the pale pink color and shimmer are very nice on them. Promise to take photos and post tonight.

You know I'm not much of an earring person. I've got some bezel studs I wear daily. I pretty much don't take those out, but I've been thinking about venturing down the pearl earring road. I know it sounds crazy, but I'm worried about the heavy pearls making my lobes droopy. haha. Silly, I know.

Lorrissey, I looove your collection! My pearl collection isn't huge (though I've done a lot of buying this past year), but so far, drusies are my favorite! These ivory ones are gorgeous and they look lovely on you. Enjoy!

I love those whites. I too prefer the more potato shaped drusies. Catherine has both so I made sure to look for ones that were rounded and she was awesome about helping me with that. Flat sides can be interesting, but they're not my thing. I know some people prefer them. Different strokes for different folks!

Were you thinking yours would be different in person, or was it just seeing the rounder shape after the fact that changed your mind? I just looked at the vendor photo. They are flat sided and top drilled which is definitely visually interesting, but not my taste. It does stink to go through the whole trial and error thing-been there, done that. More than once-lol.

I hope you still love them both! They each have their own personalities. This white one is something special though.

I haven't posted about the button whites because I honestly don't know anything about them. I've had them for years and years and were probably given to me by my mom. The tahitian baroques were a cheap ebay find and I'm hoping to get a nicer strand to replace them, but for now they are doing the trick!

The pale pink drusy's from CC will have to be posted tonight. I've been super busy and haven't had time to do all the uploading etc. I wasn't expecting anything different as far as shape is concerned. I'm more disappointed in the placement. Will be better to explain with photos and a thread tonight. There are some halves some not halves and they are kinda all over the place and not laid out well. kwim? Like there are 3 non-halves that you would think would be in the center but they are off center and the one in the center has a rather large blemish which you would think would be on the side or something. But tonight. I pinky swear to post photos. The color is really nice though and also very shimmery. but I am considering having them restrung in a different pattern so the prettier ones are in the middle.

I used to wear just one pair of stud earrings for weeks at a time. Even as I got older, I still preferred smaller studs and yes, my ear holes have never stretched out. I'm thinking to go with your pearl strands you could get a couple of pearl studs, say in creamy white and metallic golden pink from Pearl Paradise. This would coordinate well with many of your strands for a more complete pearly look. Just a thought, which you are free to ignore.
