There''s two that I know of.... one that follows the path of a very large diamond from the mine to Antwerp.... the other was a Nature special...
the first was definately more interesting, especially the when they had a hidden camera and were trying to smuggle diamonds out of the country, etc. the other was (IMHO) a thinly guised ''scientific'' reason why diamonds are so rare and everyone should have a dozen of them
(Main issues with the Nature presentation.... 1. a dozen people emphatically claiming diamonds are rare 2. the interview of a NYC dealer who "buys back hundreds of diamonds a year" - and "many people make a lot of money off of selling back heirloom diamonds" 3. The ugly cuts that some of these stones had (esp. some of the red/pink ones that they had.... "a complete mystery as to why they''re colored that way") 4. (along with 3) not having an Eightstar or two to show off what a diamond can really look like 5. "DeBeers opening their vault to show off some of the most impressive diamonds they have (for a fashion show)" (and then having a few hundred thousand carats of ''rare'' stones show up.... several 50+ carats....
