just got engaged -- my first post!

hi everyone! i recently got engaged and wanted to share pics of my ering! i have been a lurker for a few months. i came across these forums when a friend sent me a link to the cut adviser tool. ever since then, i was hooked!

i tried to take pics to share, but they didn''t turn out as good as everyone else''s. my diamond is in a solitaire setting and i''m very happy with it. i am hoping to upgrade to a michael b petite princess; but this forum has really turned me on to solitaires and eternity bands, and now i''m not too sure what i want!

but anyways... here''s my ring! thanks for looking.

thanks all! we are very happy and excited for what''s ahead. the diamond is GVS2 and 1.39 ct. my ring size is a 4. i just got engaged yesterday and i''m in that "can''t stop staring at my ring" phase.

i noticed that the prongs are a bit off on my diamond, but i can''t bear to send it in for a resize...

hope those are enough stats to satisfy! i don''t have my info nearby. just let me know.

thanks so much! i will definitely post some more once i get more pics! maybe tomorrow... i want to do them now before my excitement wears off. i woke up early this morning because i was anxious to wear my ring! i can''t take my eyes off of it!

wow! thanks everyone for all your kind responses. what a wonderful community of folks!

sabina -- he just proposed at home when we got back from picking up the ring. i didn''t expect him to do it at that moment. it may not seem as romantic as other stories you may have heard, but it was completely perfect for me. my fiance (strange to say that!) is a little be more reserved so he was completely out of his element. the fact that he actually got down on one knee really meant a great deal to me.

iheartdiamonds -- i think for now i will be sticking with the solitaire look. it just looks so classic and it really shows off the diamond.
i''m attaching another pic that still doesn''t do that diamond justice! i think the first picture was a bit misleading and made it look absolutely bigger than it is -- (definitely not complaining about the size. i completely love everything about our choice!).
