Colored Stone E-rings/Eyecandy

Some more color combinations. A 1.5 carat lavender spinel cushion, a 2 carat spess, and a tiny half carat tsavorite with amazing color. Photographed in a gem box, up close, again with new camera. The spess is a portuguese cut and that's not a window, but it's tilted in the box.

Gosh, every time I see that lavender spinel, I love it a little bit more!

An 8 carat cuprian I bought eons ago, it came with a copper bearing lab memo, and you can see the needles associated with Mozambique cuprians. New camera, so I took a shot.

And this???This is freaking beyond my tolerance! How can you get this kind of stone and only post it here. MORE pictures! and STORY!

You're very kind. Actually the smaller cuprian rectangle that I posted lower on that page is extremely neon, but the camera doesn't capture it as well as it is IRL. The eight carat is included and not precision cut, so its not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Who needs a precision cut cuprian! Especially at that size and clarity? I could live with twice of the copper needles!

I'm going to show off, but I actually have a precision cut cuprian. It's around 2.8 carats if I remember correctly. I set it in 18K and diamonds. Enjoy!

It was a horrible horrible cut, absolutely terrible, but I had it recut by a lapidary (I forget his name, and he no longer does recuts). That was a long long time ago. It had a GIT memo, and it has some needles, but not visible to the naked eye.

I think cuprians look amazing in high karat yellow gold, so that's why I went with it.

Here's another pic of the emerald cut cuprian I posted on the prior page. It's so hard to capture how incredibly neon it is. Also, I love the combination of turquoise and orange, so here's another one of my spessartite. Although the cuprian is not cut well, I wear it almost every day, that's how much the color intrigues me.

I am very gentle with it that's for sure! So I never wear it when I'm at home or when I exercise, take it off when I wash my hands etc. I've had it for nine years and no damage so far, so I think it's doing OK. I'll have it reset at some point though.
