These flowery looking prongs are on a Georgian era ring and I was wondering if anyone could tell me more info about them? Are these old or were they re-done to look like this? TIA

@Rfisher I have to admit that I love them also!

Very cool for a cluster ring!! No idea any information but do really dig ‘em!

I wrote Georgian, but meant to say Victorian era-sorry

I found another cluster ring of this era with these type of prongs, so maybe they are original.

They're beautiful, that's all I know

Me too, and loads of pictures.

I'm curious as to how this prong design first came to be. Did someone just go, "You know what? Prongs are so boring. Let's do something really fun!"

Join me to the club of loving them! I have had this image on my phone for awhile because I am fascinated with these "prongs" too. (Obviously not antique, though.)Screenshot_20201112-130205_Pinterest.jpg

@Mrs_Strizzle what a lovely ring, love the design! I found another cluster ring(4th) of this era with the flowery shared prongs, so am hoping they are original. There was an awesome cluster ring several yrs ago that got away from me that I have been thinking about ever since and it also had these type of prongs, who knows I guess-but I really love them :)

I’m obsessed!! I’ve never seen prongs like that before

@Smith3 They are super fun aren't they!

So I was just chatting with an owner of a large antique jewelry store and she said that those type of prongs are original-Cool!
