Moissanite Company colorless OEC 6.5mm in an illusion setting made from Stuller findings. This 14k white gold ring was made in 2005 and has been worn extensively under very rough usage but cleaned up well. It formerly held a colorless 6.5mm H&A cz from back when Wink Jones had freecz.com. The head and shank are separate components that are still available in the current Stuller catalog. The shank is for either a 4 or 6 prong head but the my jeweler filed the ends down to fit flat against the head. I'm not totally happy with the MoCo stone but it's past it's return period. It's definitely very white. It has plenty of fire in bright lighting. But it's a little "flat" looking otherwise and can look slightly hazy or chalky on cloudy days. Looks good in spotlights, bar lighting, sunlight, and LED office lighting. It's just a stone that looks best in intensive lighting. It doesn't have a top-tier polish on it, and like a cz, it really needs to be kept fastidiously clean to look its best. These photos aren't perfect. This is a pretty stone, just not a Distinctive Gem or a Joseph Schubach.
I showed 2 older rings for a color comparison to the MoCO OEC. The 6 prong ring adjacent to it is an early 2000s RB moissanite that has the very low flat crown, large table, and slightly yellow-greenish color typical of those early moissanites. But it's beautifully cut and throws nice broad flashes of fire. The setting is a wg Tiffany replica from American Set when they sold on ebay around 2006 or 2007.
The thicker 6 prong ring in the 3 rings pic is a 14k wg Stuller Solstice with a low profile integrated head. And the stone in it is an 8mm colorless Asha CZ that the coating has been steadily chipping off of. I bought a Gigajewe 8mm OEC to replace that Asha. I'll do another thread on that.
