Not bad for January in the tristate area.




I love the change of seasons. I love hiking when it is cool out and cycling when it is warmer. I love the variety.

I love the change of the colors and autumn leaves and the bare trees that winter brings.
I love the warm air of summer combined with the cool ocean breezes.
I love the fireplace inside warming us on a cold stormy winter day. Comfy cozy on the couch snuggled with our kitties as it snows and storms outside.
I love the fresh air of spring and the sound of spring showers going pitter patter. I love the smell of the blossoming trees and flowers. The beautiful fragrance that fills the air.

I love it all for different reasons but I wouldn't change a thing. Nothing, IMO, beats the four seasons weather wise. I love that about living in the Northeast.

And while I might occasionally complain about too cold or too hot weather ultimately I wouldn't move somewhere I didn't have a change of seasons.

36 currently, high of 39. Happily ensconced in landlocked Indiana. Sometimes sunny, sometimes overcast and snowy or icy. It's great to have all 4 seasons.

I may not have money. I may not have love. But I have this: beautiful surroundings and landscape, hills, hiking, fresh air, wide-open spaces anywhere anytime, and a billion stars in the sky every night.

Don't piss off Hoosiers, now. You saw Georgia turn blue--expect the unexpected from other states now, too!

Missy, I have lived in and also love the 4 seasons for everything your pics so beautifully capture.
I grew up in the midwest, and was stationed in Iceland for over a year, also in Florida and Southeast Asia.

Every climate has its up and downsides.
Overall though, I'll take our So. Cal. beach weather.
It is pleasant more days of the year than anywhere else I can imagine.

BTW, our forecast for 83 today was wrong.
It reached 89.

I’m with ya, Kenny! I’m in the general Los Angeles/Pasadena area. I’m in shorts and a tank top today. I am finding that the sunshine seems to help me deal with all the covid stuff. Time to bbq.

7C. Seasonably warm for our neck of the woods at this time of year. I cycled today (in a down parka of course!) The Rockies look gorgeous--pink sky over white peaks! I'll take it.
