H vs2

Also didyou get mm measurements?
No, I'm guessing like 7.3mm?

Shouldn't it be closer to the dimensions of that 2.38 ct that sold?

The AGS report for it is still clickable here:

Kenny
my guess was based on a regular Asscher...

So maybe closer to 7.60 mm? Can you please post your AGS report? I know it is a H VS2 but with Ex polish not ideal?

VRBeauty and DF, here is all of our Octavia data:

Mine: AGS 1.515 G VS2.
SO's: GIA 1.34 H VS2.

Kenny, so your Octavia was graded by AGS and your SO's was graded by GIA? I notice your table is much bigger than your SO's. Are they both from Gen 1?

Karl recently posted that mine was the last Octavia sold from Gen 1, which had the wider windmills.
My SO's GIA report is dated Dec 2009 and his windmills are more narrow so I'm guessing his is Gen 2 or 3. http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/6854/

Maybe Karl can answer your question.

But that don't sense b/c if your SO's is Gen 2 or 3 it should have been graded by AGS.

DF, maybe it's time for that beer.

Never had a beer in my life.

DF, I am not supposed to tell ya but since it got shipped off to AGS its ~7.38mm

Kenny your SO's is the 1st cut of gen1 as I recall.
It was among the first 4 for sure.
There were more variation in the numbers of the first gen as we searched for the most reproducible numbers and process.
Keep in mind that everyone is tuned for performance so variations in the numbers had little impact on performance.

As I have the model loaded in DiamCalc it gives it, what I would consider a true "average diameter" being that it also takes in corner to corner measurements as well at 8.25mm. :P

btw LOVED shooting this video. As good as it looks there it still doesn't do it justice.

and here's the ASET via DiamCalc on it BOINK

Its not really my place to tell you. Not that it is a secret.
Also the lab determines the official numbers and they might vary a little usually in the last number from sarin numbers.. ie 7.37 or 7.39 from the lab would not be unexpected.

Now of course we all are wondering how you are going to set this out of this world gem. May I suggest tapered baguettes in plat. Please no halo.

I cannot WAIT to see this thing all said and done in more images and with the report. That video is...madness!

I've been wondering about the solid square that shows up in photos, and that shows up as pink in this ASET. Is that extinction, or some other less phenomenon that reduces performance in this area? It certainly doesn't show in the video, however.

I'm in lurve!!

Which area?
Under the table?

It's a G VS2 isn't it?
