Lucy and Ethel hit the road.....

I don't know Sheri's user id -- can you email it to me? Is the show local?

Next I spied bracelets and strands on a wooden case.

I asked Sarah what rare items she had in the studio. She pulled these items out for us to view.

Albino black lipped oyster pearl. They call it "Avake" a couple were breed them in the Cook Islands. Along with it is a huge natural abalone pearl.

PS... The shell in the second photo is a Black lipped oyster shell, not Abalone black lipped oyster.

Did you have fun, MZ? Did you buy anything?

I was quite the novice and mostly was there to listen and learn....but what a treat to fondle so many strands.
I pulled out every bundle of strands In a box and laid them out on the table.
my fav were the ones I held for the pictures.

yes, I did a couple of small purchases: the white pearl petal 'flower' is shown with the two pinker ones.......the white one is mine!
and I purchased the reddest octopus which is to the left in most of the pictures....the detail front and back just makes the pieces spring to life. each seems to have its own personality and I was immediately drawn to Little Red.

it was interesting to watch the work with Sara on their projects.

and that 4RanchGirl?! geez, the woman can wear every color of pearl so very well! it was amazing. not all women [me included] are so fortunate.

NL did a great job of getting pictures!

Persian Gulf natural pearls.

Conch pearl and it was HUGE.

It was fun having you with us on our pearl adventure Movie Zombie. Btw lavender and some of the pinks are real hard for me to wear so I just stay away from them.

Small dish of conch and Melo.

dscf1807.jpg

what was particularly interesting is that Sara has shells and can point and say in the instance of this conch pearl, "it comes from that"!

That tiny dish of pearls is many thousands of dollars.

These strands were harvested from a antique choker from the 1920's. The seed pearl were tiny and hand wired. It was delicate and alluring. Great work Sarah.

Many necklaces to choose from, let your mind go free...... The second photo has oxidized silver seed beads between the pearl tin cup.
Very nice job.
