Just made an offer on a ring from lord of the rings. 3 stone sapphire.

What do you think?

Thanks for your advice!

Cute fun ring! The stones appear to be set rather high in the hand shot and no explaination of what treatment on the sapphires. I''m sure they are treated in some fashion based on the low price.

Did you win it?

Yea. I best offered with free resizing and engraving.

Very pretty! :) do you mind if I ask how much he had it listed for? I want to make a best offer on a couple of his pieces but don''t know how low to go without being insulting!

I don''t think he''s ever insulted by lowball offers. He''ll just come back with a counter offer if he thinks it''s too low. In my experience, he comes down about 10 to 15% though.

Ditto this. Also, if you offer to buy more than one setting, sometimes he''ll come way down. Those baguette settings I won recently I got for $160 each. Plus custumization, they were both under $200.

Lauren, you are all kinds of awesome. Whenever I get the money together for one of his settings I want you to bid on it for me. LOL.

I actually got this ring at 188. I best offered for 160. He came back with 188. I offered 188 with free engraving and resizing. Which saved me 30 some dollars. So I''m very happy with that.

Thanks TL (thanks for the info on the gold colour too), LTP and abrooke. I might buy one of his cheaper pieces initially to get an idea of the workmanship and to make sure I am happy with it before I place a large order.
