Musey, you have THE most beautiful asscher here. And the setting is perfect. If I were to ever have an asscher, yours would be it. STUNNING!
I was sized at 6.25 but I think I'd be more comfortable with a 6, this one slides a bit and makes me nervous! (Especially when I'm cold)Date: 2/26/2007 12:50:05 AM

yours in so nice what size finger do you have...
Seriously though, with an asscher, you HAVE to try them on to get an idea of what they'll look like!!!Date: 2/26/2007 12:53:56 AM

As big as you can afford.
I just meant that in a 2ct size, the steps are not as visible as in a square emerald (which has wider and fewer steps--the RA has thinner and more steps). Up close I love the step pattern, but it''s not as obvious from a distance as I''d like it to be. Then again, it''s probably not "obvious from a distance" until you get into the 5ct+ range!!Date: 2/26/2007 1:33:11 AM

Musey, is yours a RA? Wouldn''t it still show the patterns in a RA as opposed to a square emerald like you mentioned?
Yes, it's a RADate: 2/26/2007 1:40:35 AM

Okay, thanks for the info. But is yours a RA? Either way, your ring is beautiful. In fact better than Elizabeth's asscher.
I'm sorry, don't worry about what?Author: emilina22
no dont worry about it he thinks so too his sister says that im gonna be the happiest girl in the world
Aw, bummer! If he has it already, why the wait? J only managed to make himself wait 3 days after getting our ring, instead of the month that he was planning onDate: 2/26/2007 2:13:56 AM

lol itll be about a good year and a half till i get it so theres alot of waiting left
True, but proportion-wise it might be pretty close.Date: 2/26/2007 1:33:17 AM

You should be 'calling' all 2.5-3ct asscher owners then, not 1.50+! A 2.5-3ct asscher will be another .5-1mm larger than mine in width, so 1.50-2 won't be a quite accurate depiction of the size of yours on your hand.

Just out of sheer curiosity (sorry it''s a bit off topic) but is this stone that''s ''floating around'' a family heirloom stone (sounds like it might be if your boyfriend already has it)? If so, is there any story behind it? I just love to hear those kinds of stories, so please share if there is one!
I hope for your bf's sake it was passed down! That would be an AMAZING stone to inherit... and would save him anywhere in the neighborhood of $25-65,000! He must be very successful. Lucky you!Date: 2/26/2007 4:16:48 PM

Here is my 1.96ct Asscher (7.1x7.0mm). I feel like it looks like totally different sizes, depending on the angle!
