awww, I love this one! It's so adorable (but also strong) somehow. SO PRETTY!

Re: Antique baby dragon demantoid ruby stickpin conversion

I have been a fan of your ability to find unique fun pieces that work with colored stones..long admired your king bird stacker and this one is even more adorable!

Re: Antique baby dragon demantoid ruby stickpin conversion

Oh my friend, you've done it again!! Another beautiful and unusual piece - LOVE the rare gems, the gold color, design, everything!! Fun piece to add to your collection. I LOOOOVE GoT too :)

Re: Antique baby dragon demantoid ruby stickpin conversion

Omg that is one of the cutest things I've ever seen!!!!!

I hardly ever like animal jewellery but this.... I'd own!

Re: Antique baby dragon demantoid ruby stickpin conversion

LOVE this.   Precious!

Re: Antique baby dragon demantoid ruby stickpin conversion

I love the baby dragon. Such a cute and ferocious little guy. Like a puffed up, hissing kitten.

Re: Antique baby dragon demantoid ruby stickpin conversion

Ooooh you guys! You are making me all warm and giggly! I just love you guys!

I agree Lovedogs, adorable yet strong! A good reminder! Thank you!

Lilmosun you are making me blush! Thank you! This dragon, the diamond/ruby fox head (in another forum I think) and the queen bird are my favourite animal pieces. I remember wearing lots of silver animal jewelry in 8th grade! It is nice to stick to my roots. We do have a zoo here IRL lol!

Katharath, thank you! This ring comes together like that for me too. The attention to detail is so amazing! I wonder if it was made in Russia with the demantoid garnets and all? I am the Mother of Dragons (and babies, chihuahuas, parrots, dart frogs, fish, etc.)

Thank you RedSpinel! You migh be converted now!

Thanks Missy! I do find myself saying "My precious..."

Thanks Lady D! He is so full of character! I used to have and breed leaf tail geckos and he really reminds me of those babies when they hatched out of their eggs! They were the most precious things and the eggs were the size of a pea! Ithe first pic is not mine but they looked just like that.

Lilmosun, here is the diamond and ruby fox stick pin ring from the same vendour. Set in silver and the head is from from the late 1800's. I like to think of him as a wolf! One of my chihuahuas is named Wolf so this is fitting.

Love him!

I see a new trend starting all because of you, m'dear!

Re: Antique baby dragon demantoid ruby stickpin conversion

Ohhh...as a husky owner, the wolf ring would be right up my alley (except I would need to change the eye color lol)...love all three !

Re: Antique baby dragon demantoid ruby stickpin conversion

LOVE this! Gorgeous!

Re: Antique baby dragon demantoid ruby stickpin conversion

Ahh! No joke ilovegemstones, I saw that ring and was heartbroken that it was sold! I love stickpin conversion rings and Trademark Antiques has so many great ones. I'm so glad you got it so I can see more pictures! [emoji1] I've been looking for a fox or a griffin ring for a while now. I love it!! And so awesome that you used to breed geckos -- such a cute picture!!

Love this!
I've always liked stickpin conversions, but had never seen the animals (don't know why?) until now.
Thanks for posting these!

Re: Antique baby dragon demantoid ruby stickpin conversion

I absolutely love it! Antique, unique and beautiful. :appl:

I never even thought of converting a stickpin to a ring and love that you posted your conversion ring. Thank your for this great idea!

This is so cute! Now I want a baby dragon ring too!

Re: Antique baby dragon demantoid ruby stickpin conversion

Thank you everyone! Sorry for the late post. I was offline for a while out of the country.

Arabella, thank you! There are so many gorgeous griffin/dragon/ basilisk stickpin rings out there. I am sure you will get one and you will just love wearing it! If you Let Jessica know you want one she will keep an eye out for you! :)

Thanks Minou! I love the idea of the conversion rings because there are so many beautiful and intricate stick pins out there that are not being worn. I am hooked now! :)

A new conversion ring came today! It is made of rose cut diamonds, turquoise, and rubies. It is very old (1800's) and was converted into a ring by Gaetanno Chiavetta who is very well known for restoring old jewelry. What insect do you think it is? It was described as a bee. These are my animal spirits!

I love your collection of stickpin conversion rings. I have a dragon stickpin ring too. But mine is really fragile so It doesn't get much wear.
