I know I know, I should be heavily flogged for not doing this sooner, but I''ve been doing a lot of traveling for work. To keep from being bored, I''ve been um...shopping

I won''t have to roll out until next week (YAY!) so for now I''m home, its sunny, and I had some time to snap a few pictures.

Here''s what you''re going to see pictures of:

up first: 2.98 blue spinel. Some of you know I sent one back to Tan because I wasn''t in love with it. I have to say, I like this one better because 1; its much bluer and less gray than the other, and 2, I think I like the overall shape more. It is however the worst freaking stone to take pictures of. Showing it in all its beauty is almost nil.

Bright direct sunlight. IRL you can see the facets, but the camera doesn''t pick them up period.

Here''s a facet pic. As beautiful as it is IRL, its really hard to show that. And yes, its a med-dark blue stone.

Next: 1.40ct Vivid Purplish Pink Tourmaline

Direct sunlight. Its a sparkler!

I''m standing just in front of the window, here you can see some red and the pink/purple quite a bit.

To me it seems it tends to look redder in sunlight.

in a darker spot of the room. This is a very intense stone.

Next, a bright orange 6.28ct chalcedony. Taken right in front of the window (pretty obvious huh?) Its transparent but not see through.

the backside of the stone was also polished.

this like to call the color "soda pop orange" I haven''t decided what what type of metal to put it in yet, but will look good in gold or silver.

Next: 1.72 orangish pink (BROWN) spinel It has a definite brown cast IRL

On my hand. I probably won't even set it. Its not a particularly pretty stone but I didn't spend much so no biggie really. fluoro is weak, but its there.

Next: 6.87ct Indigo Afgan Lapis. I do plan on getting more of this. Its amazing in color.

Next: 36.86 cts Tiger Eye. Its humongus at 30x30. Definitly a pendant stone and I alreay know what I want, I just have to do it (it''ll be sleek and simple)

Next: 29.67ct Variquoise. Apparently its found in a lot of places, but mine is from Utah. I love the creamy mint body color (some may not call it mint, they may call it foam seafoam or whatever...lol its a light green). Its got what looks like a gold metal in the vein but I have no idea what it is.

Another perspective. I really like this stone a lot, I just dont know exactly how it will be set.

The underside has been polished. it certainly is pretty all the way around!

I think its just a tad big for a ring stone, and may look best as a pendant. I think that gold metal would bring it our more than a white metal.

Next: 10.96 cts Orbicular Imperial Jasper.

I really dig this stone. Its amazing the things mother nature creates! There''s a bit of translucency to this stone though it is not transparent or see through.

On my hand. It may be ok as ring stone but I really don''t want to cover up how lovely it is. I have to think about how I want this one to be set. (bracelet maybe??)

In direct sun. The fluoro is quite heavy on this stone.
