Other side view. I think it''s really neat how he chose a setting that makes my rectangular diamond look oval from far away. He knew I wanted something simple, I had been admiring cushion cuts on the internet, and I really wanted a low setting... and he picked something perfect for me!

I know that it is an H VS1. It''s 1.2 carats, and I just had it resized down to a 5 1/4. I couldn''t believe that he picked such a lovely diamond on his own. Afterwards, his sister asked him about ring shopping, and he said, "well, there are 4 c''s to diamonds, Amy. Cut, carat, clarity..." and then with a big grin, he said, "and cost." Everyone got a big laugh.


I''ll post the dimensions for you when I get home tonight and look at the certificate.
