Emerald Cut Stones & Asets for Evaluation

Hi All,

I've decided to pursue my search for an Emerald Cut stone. I'll link the other thread so you know what I had looked at previously. The Victorian Cut stone didn't work out for me as I had hoped it would. I think I'll just stick to the ole classic cutting style of the Emerald.

Here are 3 stones I had recently evaluated by the gemologist. I'd like to get some feedback on them & the ASETS.

#1. 1.07, I- VS-1. Gemologist Evaluation:
It has a true “I” color, faces eye clean, and has a very attractive cut. It offers great light performance, and when compared to your others, appears the brightest and most sparkly.

#2. 1.01, H-VVS-2. Evaluation:
has great light performance all its own, ranking second in the lineup. It’s eye clean, has a true “H” color, and is beautiful in its own right.

#3. 1.20, J-VS-1. Evaluation:
is eye clean and has a true “J” color. It’s just slightly warm, so only a color sensitive eye might notice its color. It’s bright and sparkly and ranks as your third strongest performing diamond.

Opinions?

I was going to make a yellow 3 stone ring, be it sapphire, or diamond, but haven't found one I wanted yet (also known as price-size balance issue). Although somewhat unusual, I was contemplating doing a setting with 2 yellow diamond side stones, probably Traps. I know usually it's the other way around, yellow centre flanked by white side stones. In truth, the pricing of yellow diamonds are quite a bit more expensive than their white or colourless counterparts. I want yellow to add a bit of cheer. Then again, I can find an inexpensive, heated gem for my yellow project. This ring will be a right hand ring, most likely in an East- West setting.

The first is the nicest of the three but the lineup of the three aren't great to begin with.

I think the gemologist is spot on. The first one looks the best in the video and also has the best aset.

I agree with Chrono. None of them are great. I'd keep looking for a better one! You want to see more red in the ASET.

Not necessarily more red but a better distribution of colours. There's just too much green in all 3 ASETs.
