Jeff White asscher sapphire ering

[Girl from Mars]

Boy from Mars and I were looking for this stone for almost a year - but we finally have it, and it was set this week in a setting inspired by the DanielK Rosebud ring. Thanks to the Pricescopers who convinced me to go with an Asscher cut over a cushion - I don''t think I''ll ever get tired of looking into the steps, especially when cut by Jeff!

Here''s what Jeff had to say about the stone:

It''s an unheated blue from Sri Lanka. Colourwise, it''s a rich blue with violet undertones in natural light, and exhibits a more decidely-lavender appearance under incandescent/fluorescent. Clarity is very good for a stone of this size, with silk being the major contributor.

Size specs are 7.8 x 7.77 x 6.06, with a total carat weight of 3.23. (A little larger than we were really looking for but hard to get the combination of colour, cut and size absolutely spot on!)
