First off I would like to thank Jamie, Lesley and the BGD crew for everything they've done to procure this project. After countless emails and calls to Jamie, she has been brilliant in her understanding and patience with my meticulous OCD-like questions. I would and will come back for more projects in the future (once I recuperate from this one).
My soon to be finance has alway been in love with the Tiffany Novo. She has always expressed interest in cushion diamonds since we brought up marriage a couple years back (we've been dating for 6.5 yrs). As always I usually go online to research whatever product I am about to purchase, regardless of price. After searching online for a couple days I come across Pricescope and was instantly hooked. I've probably logged about 70-80 hours in reading before I made a decision in contacting our trusted vendors here.
The diamond was purchased from Troy at Liberty Diamonds in Irvine, CA. He is a wealth of knowledge and would recommend him to anyone that prefers a local dealer. He's top notch with a great facility and that was a plus for me. I was pretty specific with what I wanted (thanks to PS of course) so I came prepared with a spec sheet. After several visits I found my signature cushion brilliant with the nice facets I wanted.
I never thought choosing a setting was equally as hard. There are a ton of outstanding settings offered by our respected vendors but one stood out, which was BGD. Their attention to detail is second to none. I've seen about 8 different hand made setting manufacturers and no one compares to BGD's intricate finishing details. Their work is appealing to the naked eye, but even more stunning under a 10x loupe!! After changing my mind several time I decided on their Novela setting and couldn't be happier with my decision
Now I just have to plan the proposal...
