Does anyone have an opinion on this? I''m looking at Dirt Cheap and Whiteflash right now, and I''m trying to figure out if it''s worth the extra $400-500 for the Vatche X-prong compared to the one offered at Dirt Cheap.

Thoughts?

Get the designer setting. You absolutely won't regret it. What you will regret is if the other one turns out less than perfect.

I saw the Vatche x-prong in person and wasn't too impressed but a lot of people like it. It's a pretty popular design, i think you can find a generic one that's just as good. Several other designers make a very similar setting, you might want to take a look at those. Jeff Cooper is one, Primak is another. As far as i know, Primak is cheaper than Vatche and, just in my opinion, nicer quality. Also Ingwer, i believe, make one, definitely cheaper than Vatche.
